Project Runway--Anyone Watching???

I think that Chris won fan favorite. I hope Victorya gets her snooty self put in her place as I hope Carmen does too. I guess I don't understand why Carmen's design was such a disaster. Men's shirts are like women's blouses except for the buttons and button holes. Also I do realize there are other differences but men's shirts are more boxy so there is less seaming. With the design she had she could have just done a knit top. Oh well, I guess we will find out tonight what has Carmen so upset.

Well, for sure, I was shocked over the fan favorite.

Count me in as surprised, too. All the designers were looking at Chris March as the winner and Christian was an overwheliming favorite, too. I'm guessing that Chris didn't get some votes because some people didn't feel that he should have been there after his elimination and thought returning was enough of a prize for him. I have to admit that Christian did make the show more entertaining without being as overbearing about his 'style' like Rami and Victorya.

What was up with Victorya being "upset" about Jack's having to leave the show. It seems as though she was angry????

I guessing that Christian is a lot better than the rest of them at organizing his friends to vote in. You can vote more than once for fan favorite, too, and that makes it quite easy to tip the vote. Christian looked like he knew he won before they announced it, and said, well, I need the money, apologetically, I thought..

Add me to those who were surprised that Christian was fan favorite -- or person with the most-voting fan base! Like everyone, I thought Chris had it in the bag.

I thought Victorya and Carmen were both very obnoxious, sour, and unpleasant during the reunion.

I was amused by the montage of Diva names, the clips of Michael Kors cracking up during the Divas runway show, and a lot of Jillian's quips/previously unseen commentary.

Overall, I'd say their montages and looks back were good, but the in-studio portions were somehow lacking. Almost as if they were trying to avoid or tiptoe around certain subjects. I don't know; it just felt off to me.

I guess I am in the minority -- or not, considering the result -- but I was not at all shocked that Christian won fan favorite. He is my absolute favorite, by a mile! He is so entertaining. I don't take him seriously at all. I guess I "get" him. And although I don't know him, I know several people just like him, and they are a total hoot. I think I have said this before, but his attitude reminds me a lot of Johnny Weir's.

I don't actually mind Christian -- I think he has some growing up to do (who doesn't at 21?), but I think he also has major talent. I said after Episode 2 or thereabouts that when he turns 25, I want him to be my gay best friend. I actually feel the same way about Johnny Weir, now that I think about it (not starting a conversation about Johnny here; just saying he would be fun to go to lunch and go shopping with).

Everyone, be sure to check out and vote for your favorite designs in the "Sew Not Over" competition over at BravoTV.com. The show is also available here if you don't want to try navigating the Bravo site. I thought there were a lot of interesting pieces from various designers -- and a lot of things I would buy, but think I already can (meaning the designs are not that original). Overall, though, Rami's was my favorite. I wish he'd shown more of that versatility on the actual show.

I really thought that Chris had it in the bag too for people fav designer.. Although, I do think Christian is brilliant and has brought a lot to the show. I can't see season 4 without him. What was up with Victoria's attitude? I canNOT stand her!! She really isn't as good as she thinks she is....LOL

Thanks Toepick for the site.

Marion -- Not too bad
Carmen -- Would you wear in space??
Christian -- Looks like hurry up
Chris -- Dresses seem very slim and models have a hard time walking
Elisa -- Not too bad
Jack -- ???
Jillian -- Cute
Kevin -- I really like
Kit -- Hmmmm, not too sure
Rami -- I like
Steven -- Looks like designs from the 60's
Ricky -- Not to bad if you got rid of the hats

Just my opinions.

Any predictions on who will win tonight Rami or Chris???

Dee

it's actually a two part finale and tonight they will show the designers making thier collections. I think that next wednesday is the finale! But I think that it will be Remi that will make it.

Technically, I think Rami should win and get the third slot. (Even thought this has already all been recorded, had fashion week and winner declared).. But we are all on TV viewer time..LOL As an artist and person, I hope Chris got that third spot. After seeing pics of thier designs already from fashion week it was good to see the Rami broke out of his (all he can do is drape) mold. Plus, Rami's gowns were AMAZING! I did like the 20-30's glamor and cookiness of Chris's designs though...
I think Christians collection had the best cohesive flow. There was a beginning, middle and end. His pieces all blended perfectly from one to the next.... and Christians finale avant-gard gown was BRILLIANT!

The strange moulting featherpile dress???
Hard to make, but I thought Christian's entire collection looked like a funeral cortege for the last act, the dead Big Bird.

Therefore, as I have no taste, I predict Christian will win.

I predict Rami will go on. The reason is political. The only reason Chris is still on is that last runway's guest judge, Roberto Cavalli, had him in first place.

This time, no Roberto, so it will no longer be a deadlock. Goodbye Chris.

However:
http://www.popcrunch.com/robert-cavalli-spice-girls-reunion-tour-designs-revealed/

Spice Girls Reunion tour is using Cavalli designs. Which means Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice), the guest judge, probably likes Roberto's taste.

So maybe it will be more interesting than I think.

"I thought Christian's entire collection looked like a funeral cortege for the last act, the dead Big Bird."

Maybe so, but that's one funeral I will be attending! Heck....stick some yellow feathers in my hair in homage to the Great Bird! LOL

Well Rami got the third spot == I was impressed with the 3 choices he showed the judges = Chris scared me with using human hair on his clothes = just can't see wearing anything like that == but still I reallly wanted Chris to win == I hope Jillian wins it all == but I think it will be Christian

I was really hoping that Chris would get the 3rd spot and I was rooting for him right up to the announcement. But it ain't over until the fat man sings  ..... what great exposure for Chris!!!

Wow, these 4 designers really delivered the goods. I thought about last year's show and these last 4 have put those last year's designers in the back seat.

I'm OK with Rami winning. I loved his evening dress, wow. :agree:

I like all the collections but I will root for Christian.

Anyone want to venture why Rami was picked over Chris?? Also, were only 3 pieces fair to judge their collections???

Jillian comes off as confident then she goes to pieces and becomes a drama queen, what's up with that? Did anyone else think that Jillian looked a lot like Rami's mom?

Can't wait for the finale next week.

Dee

I'm a Rami fan -- don't like everything he does, but when he hits, he hits it out of the ballpark, so I was pleased that he's the one who got to compete in the finale (since we know that all 5 actually showed!). That said, I was surprised by how much I liked Chris' mini-collection last night. Much better than I was expecting -- even better than video I've seen of the Bryant Park show!! I'm just really glad that both guys "brought it" for their little competition.

I'm also over the moon that Rami used that black/grey/white polka-dot dress for his second look. Count me as one of the women Michael Kors marked as wanting that dress!! Love it.

As for next week, I still think it's between Jillian and Christian. I personally prefer Jillian (I want one of her jackets, too), but I think Christian will take it.

Regarding the home visits, did anyone else notice that Christian didn't get to "introduce" Tim to anyone on air? I wonder why that was. Any thoughts?
