After constantly hearing "the judges will review the jump and make sure the toe touches down within the 1/4 turn, etc." then the giant BUT "they will only view the jump from one angle." A prime example I can think off the top of my head was Rachael Flatt's first 3F in her LP. When the commentators reviewed her 3F+3T combination, Scott Hamilton thought that the 3F was clean, and the questionable jump could have been the 3T. Yet it was the 3F that got downgraded.

What angle do the judges view the jump from when they are rewatching it in slow-motion? Does the angle vary according to the jump or according to where the skater has it placed on the ice in the program?
