I am digitizing some of my videos and came across one of the forgotten US pairs
Katie Orscher & Garrett Lucash . They were one of my favorites of the time and had improved immensely to take the US title.

What a nice trip down memory lane. I had forgotten all about them.

Such a strong contrast in style between the LP and SP. Admirable, showing versatility.

Some of those elements would hold up very well today.

i thought the same thing - huge throws, and unusual choreo. Shishkova & Naumov did a great job coaching them.

My personal favorite memory of Orscher and Lucash was when they were featured performers in a benefit show organized by Belbin and Agosto n 2005 to raise money for the victims of the big 2004 tsunami in Indonesia. I remember Katie and Garret joining impromptu with Johnny Weir to warm up the audience, by doing a run of unison side-by-side-by-side jumps before the show began.

It's funny how small details can stick in one's mind.

According to this Linkedin page, Katie Orscher is currently coaching in Denmark and also appearing in Willy Bietak shows.
