Reviews on Edea Symphony boots?

Hey everyone! 👋

I’m curious if anyone out there has been skating in the Edea Symphony boots, the Canada-exclusive model that launched about a year ago. I’ve been eyeing them because they’re positioned between the Chorus and Concerto in terms of stiffness (rated 80) and come with some nice features.

But despite being out for a while now, I haven’t come across a single review, user experience, or even a short mention from someone who's actually used them—either here, on YouTube, or anywhere else online.

So I figured I’d ask directly:
Are you (or someone you know) skating in the Edea Symphony?
Would love to hear:

  • How they compare to Chorus or Concerto
  • Fit and break-in experience
  • Support and performance (especially for adult skaters)
  • Any quirks or things to be aware of

Thanks so much in advance! 🙏

Yes, I've trialed a pair.

What is your skating level, weight/height, foot needs?

I haven't skated in them, just tried them on at the request of my fitter while I was waiting around in the shop. She was curious to know my opinion of the heel shape. I told her they felt like a pair of ballroom dance shoes I'd tried once in the past and returned because the heels were set too far forward, closer in to my arch, and I hadn't been able to balance in them. Kept wobbling off the back. The Symphony boots were sturdier than that (ballroom shoes have very thin spike heels) but still I felt as if my own heel was hanging off the back and the boot heel was partly under the arch of my foot -- but I have very high arches, so that only the outer rim of my heel bone touches the floor in bare feet. Someone with a different shaped foot might not feel that off-kilter.

What happens when you attach blades and actually skate in them I don't know.

Thanks so much for replying—really appreciate it, especially coming from someone with your experience on this forum!

I'm an adult skater, currently working at a pre-bronze/bronze level. I train 3–4 times a week and am mainly focused on developing stronger edges, basic spins, and my first few jumps (waltz, salchow). I'm about 5'2", 125 lbs, and currently skate in Edea Overtures (240)/Coronation Ace blade. I’ve also skated in the Chorus, though in a size that was slightly too large for me.

Fit-wise, my left foot is about half a size longer, but both feet are roughly the same width. I tend to bear more weight on my left side and have some alignment challenges (pronation and knock knee on the left), so blade mount and boot fit are critical for me. I’ve definitely outgrown the support level of the Overtures and am looking for something that offers more structure without jumping to a super stiff boot.

I did try the Symphony on briefly while I was in Canada and they felt great off-ice - fit like a glove, but I’m curious how they actually perform on the ice over time.

Would love to know how they felt compared to the Chorus or Concerto in terms of stiffness, responsiveness, and break-in. Did anything stand out—good or bad?

Also worth noting that I’m not aiming to progress beyond single jumps at the moment - perhaps in the future but not yet. What I love most is the art, dance, and edge work side of skating.

Thanks again—and apologies for the delayed reply! I had a bit of a health setback but am finally getting back on my feet. 🙏
