I was thinking... Stili's clubs routine is to a Bulgarian folk song 'Hubava si, moya goro', and the line that's repeated in her cut goes (according to one translation) "But you bring in our hearts only grief and pain"...

These Olympics were also a lesson in strategy. Katya, Marga and Mile are among the gymnasts attempting lower maximum difficulty scores, but all three of them made the final by virtue of cleanliness and artistry, while others struggled to cope with their routines.
 
Now, before the groups qualification starts, let's take a look at the international top scores by all groups (except for Australia, as no results from the Oceania Championships have been released so far):
  1. Bulgaria - 74.000
  2. Israel - 73.550
  3. Brazil - 71.850
  4. Italy - 71.700
  5. China - 71.600
  6. Azerbaijan - 71.550
  7. Spain - 71.200
  8. Uzbekistan - 69.950
  9. France - 69.550
  10. Ukraine - 69.250
  11. Germany - 68.000
  12. Mexico - 67.150
  13. Egypt - 54.550
As you can see, the top scores so far this season are very close to each other (0.65 separates 3rd and 7th, 0.7 8th and 10th), so we are in for a very interesting qualification and final.

And, like yesterday, we have to be prepared for chaos. I wouldn't call the whole field as inconsistent as the RGI field, but it's groups and a lot of things can go awry with 5 gymnasts handling 5 apparatus.
 
Heh... I wonder why Carmen works so much better for me when watching group RG than skating. ;)
 
... I have enough on my plate with RG Olympics and it was just revealed that the s-show I thought had caused enough damage was a colossal s-show that has basically destroyed the half the field, I want to die
 
Wow, the chaos is indeed just continuing in groups - Azerbaijan and Spain are both in trouble after scoring over 70 points in the AA already this season :drama:
 
... I need my daughter Magi Minevska to come back to individuals after finishing this competition... I seriously cannot handle any more mental duress...
 
Brazil was doing so well, so unfortunate for one of the girls to get injured. :(

It would probably be better if they don't make the final, there's no way to replace an injured athlete at this stage in the competition. At past Olympic games (until 2012), 6 group gymnasts were accredited with two athletes doing only one apparatus, but that's no longer the case here.
 
Same as Italy, gets the Q but messy

I literally ate half a box of fave chocolate and it has not helped a bit

That music is very patriotic and for Bulgarians is very emotional, is strange that Nikolova made many mistakes. Is sad and unexpected.


About Brazilian group one of the gymnast got injured at 10 minutes before begin competition, that's a bad thing really.

Meanwhile I'm watching when I'm commuting I hope watch the re broadcast tonight.
