Bumping this thread up because Rika is heading off to China! She said she is quite satisfied with how her programs have been coming along, and wants to do her best in both short and free. Best of luck!

I was just looking at Rika's chances of getting into the GPF this year again and realizing she has a tough line up ahead. She will be competing against Mao, Anna P. and Elena R at CoC, while at Rostelecom she is against Polina, Elena R. again, Adelina and Evgenia. Even after Skate America she still has my two fave ladies programs this season. Hope she makes it there!
Anything could happen tomorrow, or at CoR... but yes, as of right now, Radionova and Pogorilaya have left the door wide open for Rika... (mixed feeling about that cos I love all three)Quoting you again, firal, because if Rika can keep herself in second for tomorrow, then get 3rd at CoR, she could make it to the GPF once again! :hap36:

Can she be the GPF "Cinderella" girl again?! I would love that!
By the way, I think Rika's success is largely the result of her hard work, confident attitude, consistent results, and passionately-delivered performances. But I think Akiko deserves some of the credit too - her posture is greatly improved these days, and continues to improve... same for how well-defined, controlled and expressive her movements are becoming... and Akiko's choreography is tailor-made for Rika's long limbs, and dynamic style.
