Rika Hongo

Congrats Rika! I think she should be quite happy with her performance. Definitely the highlight of the ladies event!

Congratulations on winning the FS Rika! :gclap:
I got goosebumps watching her. She really feels and loves the music :luv17:
I hope she can make it to GPF.

I see Rika live in Finlandia trophy and think that she was eaven better today.
Just love that riverdance program:clapper:

Congrats to Rika on winning the Free! She is so consistent and I am very happy for her. :D I wish her luck for the rest of the season.

Lol for some reason my post took hours to appear. Way too late. 😆
Congrats Rika I'm super happy for her! She was flawless if we ignore the so on the 3Lo, this FP was definitely made for her. I hope she'll do the same at the next GP and we'll see her in Barcelona! 😄🇯🇵❤️

Rika-chaaaaaaan!!! SO happy for her! :party2:

As always her energetic and some kind of fearless skating was appealing.
This season she has two wonderful programs, her SP by Akiko and her LP by Kenji, Both of them did really great jobs for her, she must be proud of them and they must be proud of her too. :agree2: ohh and I really like her new LP costume there, she should keep that through this season.

Rika keeps surpassing people's expectations. She is just so solid in her skating, but also brings the fun and the fire. She lit up the stadium tonight. Had the best performance of the night and a well deserved personal best score.
Keep shocking the World Rika! :cool2:

Rika!!! That was an outstanding free skate you delivered today!! :hap93: Congratulations on your second place finish! :gclap: :hap10:

Exhibition tomorrow! What will it be?!

Congrats to Rika! She was head and shoulders above everyone else, IMO. Excited to see her battle it out with the other top ladies this season.

Bravo Rika! :yay:
Should have won it tbh, she makes constant steps forward, getting better and better with every competition.
She is so free, joyful and authentic in her performances - similarily to Lena Radionova.

For me, she is 2nd best Japanese lady at the moment. :clapper:

Glad to see Rika gaining new fans :clapper: She wasn't liked too much last season, but this season people have really enjoyed her programs! I'm glad she's improving her performance skills, because it really shows from competition to competition! And of course, her insanely reliable consistency. I hope she can capitalize on this momentum and do well at Rostelecom (where she's the reigning champ currently :cheer:)

I actually have liked Rika very much since Cup of Russia last year when I first noticed her - I mean really noticed her. I love the fire and determination with which she skates. Her consistency is also very... comforting to watch. I don't really think of worrying that she may fall.

Two great skates - costumes, programs, performances! Congratulations, Rika - and well done!

I love Mao, but I hope Rika has a chance at the Japanese National title this year...it wouldn't be a big deal for Mao since her objective is the Worlds, but it could really send Rika's career to new heights!

Rika was amazing :luv17: She improved so much this season, a 130 with an edge call, a ! and a step out is a huge deal.

Honestly, she's improved so much. Even though she didn't win here, I think second place will spur her to keep improving her skating even more :hap93: I actually can see her as being a Kostner-like skater who also took a few years to gather some refinement. It'll be interesting where the Japanese Federation places here in comparison to Satoko.
