Rita- Katrina part Duex?

I live pretty far inland from the storms projected path. But everyone here is acting like the eye of the storm is barreling towards us. Schools are cancelling friday night football (which is a huge deal in texas).

My family living on the coast has all evacuated and will be staying with me in SA till the storm drama is over. I'm crossing my fingers that houston and galveston are spared the tragedy that the other parts of the Gulf Coast have already endured.

I second that hope - that this storm doesn't cause as much damage as it potentially could.
