Let's discuss Ice Dance as it progresses throughout the season to the Olympics and Worlds in 2026.

Ice dancing is like no other time in history. The placements are not fixed when you wait your turn to move up the ladder. It is a hot mess. You have no idea what to expect. It does seem some teams have been around a long time and they look like they are tired or running out of ideas. The 90's theme of the RD was a marketing ploy by ISU but it has not been the best skating and probably catered to Gibson and Fear the most. But no one has had all that wonderful RD this y ear. It seemed Chock and Bates to lose but their programs which we all know IAM will re work and probably with their usual magic have not looked great concept wise or technically but they some how always get it and with juging don't get dinged as much. The come back of the new fusion team of Guillaume and Laurence is a success so far. Two wins, they look good. Their free dance is the best program and worth the most. The judges like them and controversy or not they are well received. Unlike the Shibsibs who honestly excuses after excuse it was their first competition etc. did not look good at all and the judges are not goign to hold them up unlike say Sui andHan in pairs. Fear and Gibson are the smartest and a bit lucky. They RD music favours them but they were smart with their gimmicky free dance. Its charming, it goes on national pride it will keep them in contention for the bronze. And with all Piper and Paul's issues and "reimagining" Vincet the bronze looks good. We must not forget it looks like clearly Italy is behind them and after wo GP events look like they are maybe slippig out of top five. They are a bit of a tired team. Great techncially but they just aren't particuarly interesting. VEry perfunctory almost. The Americans after CB who I have confidence will rise to the top or at least second have a heated battle for the two other spots. ZK looks like they are p assing PC which shouldn't be a surprise. CP are fifth in the world but as a result of a at home worlds. Green and Parsons look good too but quite honestly forget the drama of the Shibsibs they just aren't well received. I am not sure there is enough time to get them on the team. And maybe they should have said good bye. The other teamto watch is LaLa who had momentum two years ago and then its gone.

I'm glad Gilles/Poirier brought back "Vincent." Lots of skaters seem to be bringing back old programs (or parts of them) that they feel comfortable with or that they can connect to.

It will be interesting to see if Fournier Beaudry/Cizeron stick around after Milano.

Lajoie and Lagha need a little more time with their programs, I think, but they are improving.

Lewis and Gibson are staying in their comfort zone which is probably smart for this season.

Chock/Bates have work to do.

Like all the road leafs from Natl.
The medals are between Chock / Bates - U.S. Fear/ Gibson Great Britain , Guirnard fabri - Italy, Giles Poirer - Canada and the team from France Sorenson and Cizeron

Others could have chance but I doubt it.

The issues is who makes 2nd 3rd from u.s.
The 2nd m3rd from Italy
France 2nd or 3rd
Great Britain 2nd

How high the teams from Japan , korea, Georgia will plCe
