Roman Sadovsky

Phew, I can breathe a sigh of relief; Roman qualified for the free skate in 18th place with his second-best SP of the season (80.54 points), and I thought it was cute when he exclaimed "I got a Q!" after he received his score in the kiss & cry.

It will take most of the day for me to download the archived livestream for the Men SP, so the only individual video of his performance that's available is from the Radio-Canada Sports YouTube channel:

I'm still having trouble downloading the Men SP video (this is normal with the ISU's archived livestreams, unfortunately), but for now, I wanted to share a screen cap of Roman while he was waiting to get on the ice. I was wondering if he would display his Ukrainian heritage in some fashion at Worlds, and he did so by drawing the Ukrainian flag on his face mask. 💙💛😷

The quad and final spin were wonderful..
Thank you for posting … he has beautiful eyes 😃

I love his 4S when he lands it cleanly. The audience was clapping during his final spin because it's just so spectacular. 🤩

You're welcome, and Roman has the most gorgeous green eyes that I've ever seen on a man. 💚🥰

Phew, the Canadian men held on to 2 spots, and Roman is the top Canadian man at Worlds with the 9th-best free skate, 12th over-all. Not bad for his World Championships debut! :jump:

So glad Roman had a good worlds!! :)

Kirsten Moore-Towers on twitter (https://mobile.twitter.com/Kirsten_MT/status/1507703363164643328): "I slept in a bit so missed Romsky live but have caught up and just wanted to let you know that if you’re a Roman fan you could not be cheering for a kinder or more humble guy. So happy for him. #worldfigure #worlds2022"
"Maybe tied with Keegs for kindest and most humble lol. The Canadian men are just super good dudes okay?! 😝 "

Another cute tweet from her (https://mobile.twitter.com/Kirsten_MT/status/1507760947779317760): "The Canadian team went for dinner at Rostelecom Cup this season and were approached by a couple of fans. The young girl cried meeting @_romansadovsky but didn’t care much for the rest of us 😝"

I'm so glad my favorite Canadian Cactus had the redemptive free skate he wanted. His opening 4S had a +3 from the judges! Now that he really has that jump down in competition, he needs to drill that 3A. If he gets more consistent in competitions, I can see his PCS also rising to 9s in a couple of years.

Looking forward to his next Romsky video talking about Worlds!

CBC television's Road to the Olympic Games broadcast didn't include any short programs in full, so the most significant Roman content is his long program (with Kurt Browning's commentary) and his post-LP interview. (There are minor clips like a recap of Roman's SP and two montages, but I'll upload those at a later date.)

New instagram post (https://www.instagram.com/p/Cbsws11uNNv/ ) from Roman: "Redemption!!! 💪 Last weekend at the World Championships were pretty epic. Top 12 in the world? I'll take it 😝 So proud that I could end the longest season in my career with a bang 🔥 and to think that I almost withdrew from the event (I'll explain in my next YT vid) it's been a serious up and and down season, but the support was incredible. Thank you everyone! ❤️ And massive thank you to my entire team for making this possible. Now…I can relax 😄"

Whoa, I'm stunned that Roman nearly withdrew from Worlds. Apparently he'll explain the reason why in his next vlog. Was he depressed after the Olympics? Stressed out about the war in Ukraine and how it affected his extended family? Both? Something else?

I just wanted to display his IG post as a thumbnail:

I too am very surprised that Roman nearly withdrew from Worlds, and I was there! I noticed him and Camden Pulkinen in the line for the snack bar during the free dance and was able to get their autographs. They both seem to be very good friends, judging from they way they were chatting with one another. 😊

Here are the short discussion of Roman followed by his SP recap, plus the one of the two montages he appeared in.

Not important, but Roman was briefly mentioned in a clip about the Canadian guys competing at Worlds.

2022 Worlds Canadian Men Preview (CBC TV 720p):

2022 Worlds Men Opening Montage (CBC TV 720p); the clips of Roman are almost identical to the first montage, but there is an extra clip of him spinning in his "Breathe for Me" costume.
