Only one time. There were no Nationals this year. He did win Challenge, but it wasn't Nationals. Next year, finger crossed!

Roman competed at Skate Canada this past weekend, unfortunately he finished 12th, last place, but he fought through to the end and his performance was beautiful as always. His second grand prix is Rostelecom Cup which takes place over November 26-28.

I placed him 5th in my predictions for SCI and he bombed, so I didn't put him the Top 6 this time around. I so wish he was more consistent because he is the whole package. And his spins are divine.

I'm so proud of him!! He skated wonderfully, only a few small mistakes here and there but no falls! I'm excited to see the video on it!

Although there was no CBC television coverage of the Rostelecom Cup , Radio-Canada (which is the French CBC) was more generous, so I uploaded these videos for Roman fans who understand French -- the two male commentators were very complimentary of Roman's skating!

Yes, you're correct that Roman so far has the highest total of any Canadian man this season, and he also has the highest free skate score. After two not-so-good competitions, I was worried that Skate Canada might not be inclined to put him on the Olympic team, so thank goodness he was able to deliver two good performances here. I agree with you that his skating is breathtaking!
