Not really a about local competitions but I will post this here anyway. This french list shows some familiar names, like Evgenia Lopareva who got one JGP event last season with her former partner Alexey Karpushov. Some might also recognise some other names like Anna Kuzmenko or Liudmila Molchanova on the list. None of these were great skaters but they are young and they should have a pretty good chance to make a decent junior and senior career representing France.

A new pair.

Natalia Khabibulina / Ivan Balchenko

She is new to pair skating. He has had multiple partners but he didn't compete much with any of his previous partners. She is a decent jumper for pair skater, so, there should be potential. There may not be a lot of progress this season but they would be JGP eligible next season also but next season would be their last JGP eligible season.

He has done two home competitions and his best was 134 points. I know he could have been unlucky with his partners, but for someone who has done pairs since the season 2015-16 I would expect at least some results. This will be his fourth pair season. I am not sure why there was even mention of them. It is not as if they mention every girl who decide to switch to pairs and is matched with an underachieving pair boy. Politics?

First big Moscow competition for novice and lower level skaters is taking place this weekend - September 22-23.

Some very interesting entries here. In 1 sport girls we will see a battle between Shabotova, Samodelkina, Berestovskaya and Zinina. Arseniy Fedotov is making his debut in 1 sport boys category. That is huge for a kid born in the second half of 2009. The most notable entries in 2 sport girls are Sinyavina, Kogay, Zhabina, Lesnitskaya, Kulikova and Barakhtina. In 2 sport boys Lukin and Kolesnikov are competing. :love: all of them and then some.

The chances of getting a live stream for this event are pretty high - last year all events on Moscow Federation of Figure Skating calendar were live streamed. Fingers crossed that nothing has changed this year.
