Russian Senior Test Skates 2022

Dare I say that Kamila has improved from last year? That’s a scary proposition.

This whole process has only made her mentally stronger. I know I drone on an on about Anna’s all time great mental strength, but Kamila has to be in that category now as well.

This program is gold, a tremendous middle finger to the organizations and naysayers.

The standing ovation she received is exactly how I feel.

I still want someone to figure out what happened, because Kamila is a kid, she didn't choose to take drugs. Whether it was a stupid accident or willing adults around her doing stuff.
But yeah, I'm happy to see her skating so well since it's not her personal fault for what happened.

And you believe the story about the glass? I'd buy it if Kamila had gone directly to the doctor and disclosed it. Which is what one would do if it was an accident. It was HEART medicine. If I accidentally injested that I'd be so scared I'd go to the hospital.

No, not only did Eteri drug her, she left Kamila scrambling for a story which involved throwing her own grandfather under the bus.

Eteri is an actual psychopath and she's just ruined this entire event for me.
Can you please take your rants private? Thank you.

I'm also really glad to see her skating so well since what happened.
The amount of negative comments aimed towards Kamila I saw on the live today, whew. :( She is so young.

I think this is the first time in a long time (or maybe ever?) I liked Liza's program the most out of all the programs presented by the women at test skates.

It is a bit pantomime-y and it would maybe look generic on a different skater or in a different year in which other skaters had different programs, but this season and on Liza (who does not usually do this style), it looks wonderful. ❤️

This program really did suit her very well!

Well, aside interstellar and techno feeling good yesterday, none of the music choices are giving imo.
And there is a lack of building up. Most of musics are flat without a strong last minute.

In terms of outfits, except the cute 60s-like outfit that Zagitova was wearing yesterday i didn't see anything memorable.

Honestly the music choices have been disappointing, and a majority do seem somewhat flat and boring. No build up whatsoever, and if a build up is present, nothing comes of it.

I think this is the completely wrong way to look at it. The programme is not about Russia vs The world or Eteri vs Tomas Bach. It's simply about Kamila's emotions and her life experience

The problem is The World Outside of Russia automatically thinks she's guilty. Russia automatically thinks she's not guilty. In this climate, it's going to read as a big "F U!" to the rest of the world because Russians believe she's innocent and set up by the evil west in some way.

I would like to believe this program is just about her, but there's no way the coaches etc wouldn't be able to predict this is not going to go over well on international social media at all. But like I said, I think they don't care because they're banned anyway, so might as well do it now.

Even in a hypothetical perfect situation: they're not banned and Kamila is proved innocent, I don't think this program would play well with international audiences. Why? Who was tormenting Kamila while she was "guilty"? That would be Western media. Is it a good idea to rub that in a Western audiences' face? It would be a very awkward and uncomfortable program to watch for Western audiences because they're the "bad guy" in this program.

This is a 100% Russian-only program because Kamila has become the symbol for Western powers trying to crush Russian greatness.

I think Russia skaters are great and they're still my favs, including Kamila. I don't even hate this program, I can tell it's her raw emotions and I have sympathy for that. But it still has dual-meaning in the overall situation we're currently in.

Looks like all the Fps needs some more time to grow on me.
I liked Adelias and Lizas FP the most. Sofia S I agree could be this season big surprise.
It feels strange to suddenly see Eteri so caring when Kamila exits the ice... a big contrast to the Eteri we saw during the OG.
