Everyone's probably going to kill me, but I'm saying it anyway...Conrats to Mira for a superb program! Now, if Mira can do a 3/3, she'll definitely overcome Joannie. What I liked about Mira's program is that everything that she was critisized before even by myself, she has resolved from her edges and speed down to the bangs down to the jump cheats and turtle neck. Way to go! I will not be surprised that she will make top ten at worlds. Mira was born to compete. She is at her best in the pressure setting and I definitely like the new style she has found for herself.

Joannie's elegance is second to none. She is such a strong classic skater. If she could just land the triple triple.

Does anyone think Cynthia can ever be on the podium in the future?

I haven't seen the skates yet, but I too think Mira deserves much applause for a great job in her SP.

I friend of mine saw the comp on tv and called and said Joannie looked so strong and powerful and fast and elegant - and world contention worthy despite the fall --- I do hope she keeps pushing because she has a 'style' if I can say it like that that I truly enjoy. Good luck to all the ladies!

It seems like Mira has gotten a good deal of criticism on these boards. I've even read complaints that she's not as easy on the retina as Joannie is. :sheesh: Like that's supposed to matter.

Anyway, I think both of these ladies are going to Sweden. :thumbsup:

I'm so happy that Joannie went for the triple-triple! That's what she needs if she wants to move up. She was powerful, beautiful and elegant! Best bet for the World at this time. Mira did a good job too. Like the change in her appearance and her skating. More polished now. I like the Samson girl a lot! Could be a force before long.

Good of her to try. We all forget that this combo has gone AWOL from many of the women this season. Kimmie's keeps getting downgraded, and Yeon-Ah and Mao do triple/singles sometimes. There's no need to lose hope for Joannie just yet!
