Looking for suggestions for my daughter. Flat, pronating, narrow Egyptian feet with small bunions and big bumps on heels. (orthopedic Doc said technically not Haglund's since the Xray shows normal heel bone) 90 lbs, all doubles and skates normally 10-12 hours a week. Does Singles and ice dance. Currently off the ice this week due to bad interior ankle bursitis on landing foot. (left ankle has a bit but not super inflamed.)
Uggh. Going to decline National Solo Ice dance nationals since she is not able to practice.
Was in Risport rf3 235aa twice. broke 1st pair in 6 mths and second pair in 3 months. (mushy and was not safe for jumping anymore. Taped the ankles to make it through competitions) Coach said to try Ice fly but in the past two months with them and custom insoles from the fitter, she has had foot pain, bruising, blisters and has developed swollen, painful bursitis in the past two weeks. PT sent her for an Xray to rule out a fracture it was so bad.
Getting them punched out again tomorrow. She is very discouraged as she has a competition soon and she doesn't want to miss two in a row.
Wish there was a stiffness in between rf1 and rf3. She likes a lower back of the boot because, it helps to not dig into her Achilles. (she is 5' tall)
NC based. Travel to Nashville frequently.
Any help much appreciated! Thank you in advance.
