Apart from being the only Japanese show giving fans the opportunity to interact with the skaters, it's also the only one, that allows taking pictures and filming (of course only during "greeting time", not the actual show.) Because the skaters are usually drowned in gifts and flowers, there are "helpers" standing by, collecting the presents in baskets. As far as I could see all skaters make the circuit and are celebrated after the show! I think since his retirement Tatsuki is the only one, who refuses to accept gifts or engage with the fans.
With the participation of the biggest stars it can get pretty hectic though from what I've seen on youtube and according to reports whenever Mao, Dai or Yuzu appear in the show, with people pushing and shoving from behind to get closer, just to catch a glimpse, take a picture or to shake hands. (It looks kinda scary to someone, who's prone to claustrophobia.

) I'm not entirely sure about this, but aren't front row tickets distributed through some sort of lottery? I think this is definitely the case for some (most?) Japanese skating shows, not sure if PIW is one of them. I guess it's pretty difficult to obtain tickets in general due to the sport's and its stars' huge popularity.
Apart from Yuzu, who is always surrounded by heavy security, I'd say it's much easier and chill to meet the Japanese skaters anywhere but in Japan, because that level of figure skating craze (unfortunately!) doesn't exist anywhere else in the world. (Maybe only Russia comes close?)
Back to our leprechaun-prince:
Someone translated several
tweets of Sho's banter with fans at PIW. As always he's amazingly nonchalant and blunt. Gotta love him!
Btw where does your endearing "nose fetish" come from,
Arriba? I've never met anyone obsessed with "big" noses before! (I wish I did, because mine isn't exactly small either.
