Yuzu is very respectful of his fellow skaters and friends, so I’m not surprised he did this. :laugh: I wish we had a video of Shoma’s reaction, tho, he can’t possibly not known what he has done. :laugh:

Ah, the Greek mythology reference makes me happy. He doesn't look like the sky/jacket gave him much trouble, though. Atlas too has a curved back, just concave. [emoji16]

Edited - By the way, I stand corrected on the 4loop. Yuzuru is doing it too.

Shoma says he tends to fail 4lo or 4f (when he can make it one, he tends to fail another), but he will be satisfied if he can make it at least one.
He really is free from pressure. In japan, all pressure is for yuzu, and about foreign media, they ignore shoma (although he has the achivement of silver, total score record following to yuzu, brabrabra..).
I think he is the luckiest guy in the final group. So much potential with no pressure (I think Boyang is the same. He is underestimated by foreign media in spite of his capacity. but he is the number one in national, so his pressure must be different) .

After team event, he says he got way too nervous more at Japanese Nationals. At Nationals of 20016 and 2017 without yuzu , he must win with great performance suitable for national champ. The responsibility tortured him a lot. He showed the huge pressure and had even tears at Nationals 2016..
This time, he has no pressure. Furthermore, he says he continues his career. Even if he fails this time, he has Beijing.

When young athletes having first Olympics is strong, the situation is he is free from pressure and try to express himself bravely like Redmond Gerard (snowboard) to create a magical moment at Olympics.

He has kept saying he doesnt want to leave any regret with Olympics. If he achieves a performance which he himself can be satisfied with, it is a success for him. The judge is in his hand, not others.
In that sense, I was very happy to hear his comment after the team event.

At the same time, he has so much pride as an artist succeeding Daisuke. He will show his expressions he has polished.

Today's interview (after official practice of final group men) was really good. His cheek was red like a boy with excitement and his eyes were shining. He says his mood is getting higher for having skated with top men. He may get nervous, but he wants to enjoy (if my memory serves).

He also could have very quietly and unobtrusively walked BEHIND Shoma and quietly said excuse me and then walked out without making eye contact. I would say crawling around on the floor assured that he got more attention.
 
Good Luck in the SP, Shoma! :biggrin: I think if he stays calm and is clean, he will have no problem being in the top three doing into the LP. :yes:
