What do you think about the medal ceremony
- Uhm, how to say this, I imagined it would be neat, so I was surprised that it was grander than I had thought.
Coach Higuchi was seen on the broadcast. Did you see her ?
- Yes, my family and Coach Higuchi were there.
When you saw their faces, are you/they happy or grateful or things like that ?
- They are happy. It is the first time Coach Higuchi have been to a place like this, so just with that we feel really happy.
You showed us an amazing performance. You once said you wanted to win against yourself so what do you think about your confidence in this competition ?
- It was not too good a performance but I think it’s good that I was able to win against myself.
There will be skaters who put you as their goals to try their best. What kind of skater do you want to become after this ?
- Well, I don’t think there is yet no one who put me as their goal, but someday I want to become someone who is looked up to like Hanyu-senshu.
In this competition, we think there are a lot of emotion, happiness, satisfaction, regretfulness. What do you feel now ?
- I am very satisfied. But (the performance) was not perfect, there things I could do better in practice so I also want to look forward to next time/competition and try my best.
