Several great moments in there, thx for sharing the link! How was he so unfazed by watching Yuzu and seeing his massive score come up?These boys are riling each other up so much with the quad attempts - it's scary. Also, the first time I've watched his Worlds exhibition (yes, I'm lagging behind
) and I'm blown away. His flight over the ice is almost unreal here.
Guess, his SS are among the very best of the field indeed (maybe even 2nd to Patrick's).
That is the thing which made me surprised most about shoma. He said about it, “Don’t you want to see a nice performance, do you?” lol. He saw yuzu's performance and confirmed the score and thought that he couldn’t catch yuzu with his current power and what he had to do now was he would achieve what he was capable of now. And he did. No one can do like that. Any skater complains about that the noise of the venue by the great performance made him nervous, bra, bra, bra… Shoma was different.
Further, the difference with yuzu's score was several points. If he would have got lutz, he could have won. The reporter said so to Shoma. But shoma replied it was meaningless saying lutz or tooloop now and what he’d done was 100% of what he could do. Further, he added if Javi had been perfect, he would have been 3rd. He is a cool person.
