to write a birthday post in my blog! :ghug: (this is just to let all of you know that I was not being idle in my secret worship of Shomajesty)

Hronop I loved your post on your blog !!! so many cute moments :luv17:

I love that Shoma is getting help from he whole team Montreal. Romain Haguenauer, Sam Chouinard and now Tessa and Scott themselves lol. Boy knows where it's at! Loved seeing Daichan practicing with Olivier Schoenfelder back in the days. That's very cool the Japanese skaters are working with great ice dancers/ice dancing coaches. It really shows in the overall quality of Dai and Shoomy's skating imo

Gotta love Scott's comment "He's a good looking kid, we wanna see his face." Agreed!

@MaiKatze
Thanks indeed for your 'click' at my two posts on 2013-14 J-Nats threads. :o::thank:, which has made me go back and read my old posts there. My memories from 4 years ago have come back suddenly and vividly! I've almost forgotten what I wrote there, though. I sometimes hate getting old. :palmf::laugh:
It still breaks my heart quite much tbh, but it was a very nice reading about all those younger skaters, who already had something very remarkable in 2013 and how much they've improved in 4 years of time while moving up to seniors, once again. Thanks. :)

Thanks for the memory lane walk, along with posts by the 2 to you. It's unnerving to me how skating life goes by almost faster than real life.

(Shoma looking young I can understand as he was growing. But the others, if you look at videos, Yuzuru had a completely different mouth and look!)

I enjoyed it too. It was so entertaining!

deedee1, loved your 2013-2014 archives post. For those who can't access it or don't have time to look for it: "Shoma Uno was great. He skates big in spite of his height. He doesn't appear as tiny as he used to be. What stands out for me was Shoma does have the ability to draw audiences in. Hope he can land his enemy jump 3A soon." Awesome that he ended up 7th, just .23 behind Mura, and he was 5 points ahead of Keiji. And I think it was really a blessing in disguise that he had to work really hard on his other elements and his artistry due to not being able to jump the 3A. Even then, he had that WOW factor. Go Shoma!

Shh, don't let him know. ;-D He looks like he's out for blood, let's keep it that way.

Reading all the input on 2013 Japanese Nationals, I tried watching that competition, but there's no video of the complete last group in FS, and all videos of the some of the men (like both sp and fs of Daisuke and kozuka, and Nobu's FS) are nowhere to be found. Saw Shoma's videos and a few others though, which were pretty good. I was amazed that Shoma beat Mura in TES, considering he hadn't even landed his 3A at the time (despite the attempt).

Looks like they're drawing for the SP now.

Thanks Arriba for the practice links.

In this particular photo that you linked above Sho has that 20 year old cocky swag look going on. Boy does he look focused and ready!

Men's SP starting order is up good draw for Shomita he will be skating 4th in the last group! Go Shoma!!

Who's bored and then does a head/hair flip?

Apparently, he's not the only one who's bored and sleepy

Consistent: Shoma yawns during the draw

And of course, it's contagious

Shoma yawns when he's not in his own timezone. Shoma yawns when he's IN his own timezone. Shoma yawns, a story.

Also Keiji and Shoma! :luv17:

Well, he probably doesn't get his 10-12 hour sleep during competitions! [emoji16] He sleeps too little, he yawns; but if he sleeps too much, he'll still yawn. So basically, he'll always yawn, hehe.

Shoma drew #27 out of 29 for the SP. Yes! It's my birthday date. Hopefully it's a lucky number for the Prince of Winter! :yahoo:  :cheer2:

ETA-- oops, sorry. I see demarinis5 already said he is skating 4th in the last group.

So true. We've got used to Shoma yawning all the time, so that we may feel worried if we don't see him yawn at all during competitions now.
I'd rather see Shoma attending some sort of entrance exam to a college and waiting for an interview, with Keiji as his father and Papa Mura as his high-school teacher.

Good luck to Shoma at J-Nats! :cheer::cheer:

So, um, apparently it's a Hermes tie worth $228.

Oh my he is taking after his Uncle Dai. Now that I have a better view of the tie it looks more orange than red.
Probably one of the gifts thrown on the ice along with the Calvins, chapstick (which he does not use), cabbage head and I am still waiting for that
side of beef to be thrown. I know I am being silly. I have the Holiday spirit, a little party is going on in my office right now so
I am indulging in food and drink.
