Regarding the music, it is played on a spanish guitar so even if it’s not pure spanish music, people will associate it with that genre. Also, interpretation of music can be very creative and wide. Shoma or his team hasn’t actually said that it is a flamenco program but they might have used flamenco dance movement in the program as a way to interpret the music (as we can see from the clip). There’s no really right or wrong in this case, for example you can dance a ballet dance with a rock music or use hip-hop for contemporary ballet. It is an endless possibilities with music and movements.
Exactly... It is this kind of historical perception of Spanish style that I am talking about here. Being authentic is not the point. Bizet was not authentic either, nor was Mozart in his finale 'in Turkish style', nor many other European composers. Where exactly is a 'bad concept' here?
