I was so surprised yesterday to see all those images of Shoma as Shoko. It seems like he enjoyed it and, what a fun laid-back guy he is! :)
Winning jump contests too, such a bonus :hap10:

The Ice has become my favorite ice show for blessing us with so much Shoma content. He seems so happy and outgoing in all of the footage and it's just so nice to see.

He made it to Glacier on my birthday! [emoji5][emoji322] It is too bad I can’t go though.. train hard, Shoma! We look forward to this season with you [emoji38]

Only 4 words necessary : The Prince has arrived! I wasn't able to get there until noon, but I believe he arrived at the rink some time between 9 and 10 am. When I arrived, he and his trainer (is it Demi-san?) were in the back parking lot doing basketball moves. He came on the ice again and did about a half hour light work out. He looked a little tired (understandably), but seemed very energetic. He did a lot of one foot skating, spins, and even though he wasn't playing his music, I could tell he was doing moves from the SP. I didn't see him do any jumps. I kept thinking about how to his body, it was 3 in the morning!

No pictures today, but I'd love to get a photo of him and Alex in these matching jackets they were wearing! Alex asked me "How do you like our jackets?!" They actually looked pretty good. Pretty sure it was a gift from Shoma. Sho was wearing one of his "1" shirts...You know how they say the camera adds ten pounds, well he looked SO small (and smol) to me! There is no way he is f..

ADDING -- Forgot to say Demi-san was sitting right by me. I really wanted to talk to him (hmm, wonder if he speaks English?), but he was on the phone the entire time.

Hope Sho gets a good rest tonight and comes back tomorrow bursting with energy! :dance2:  :bed:

Wow, Arriba! I almost thought you took these pictures when I saw them on Twitter, but they are from Shoma Uno FacebookPage.
The translation:

[FONT=&quot]"I tweet it with a photograph because it is a thing for you if it is good from a family. It was one of the big goals that I went to Chicago this time to get a medal for Dr. Alex. I was really glad to see you, too, to show you the medal directly. (*^^*)"

Now, waiting for Japanese fans to tweak the ever so reliable translation from Microsoft, LOL

Here's the other version from Google:

I'd like to tweet with the pictures so it's a pleasure for everyone if you are good from your family. It seems that it was one of the big goals I went to Chicago to go to medals for Professor Alex this time. I showed medals directly to Mr. Chris and it seemed like everyone was pleased, it was really good (* ^^ *)

For the tweet above, Shoma's family said it's fine if the tweeter would like to share the pictures with the message. (that's why s/he also post the pic)
Thanks to uno family! And shoma again showed he is a sweet boy :)

Yes, he does bring the sunshine with him, and I would be thrilled to have taken those pictures. Look at how happy they all are! Alex's face might break from so much smiling. Great photos! Wonder if Demi-san took them. I know Alex is so proud of him and really respects his work ethic.

Thank you for the wonderful Shomachka updates! Glad to know you managed to see him again, Arriba!

Can anyone please enlighten me who these Alex, Demi-san, and Chris are?

Alex - Figure Skating Coach in Chicago. Shoma goes to Chicago to work on his jumps with Alex since 2016.
Demi-san - personal trainer of Shoma (and also Satoko Miyahara) I guess, he is a physiotherapist?
Chris - Figure Skating Coach in Chicago. Also British Eurosport Commentator. He's not involved in Shoma's training, Glacier is just 'his' rink! I think this is important to note, when he is accused of bias.

Thanks MK,

Just to add, Alex used to work with Gracie Gold and Chris works in Glacier, wether he actually own the rink or not I’m actually not sure.

I think Demi-san is a what we call in US a physical therapist. My sister is also a physical therapist.

I think Arriba would know, I think Chris is on staff there. He is listed in directory as Assistant General Manager/Figure Skating Director
