Sh-Shoma?

We’re so spoiled, so many gorgeous photos came out of this competition. And when I think that I wanted it to be over asap a few days ago... :palmf:

I’m very happy to see in the recent interviews that he’s more confident, this win really did him good, didn’t it? I think it’s exactly what he needed. Also I’m forever grateful to Demi-san for motivating him, please keep doing so.
In case anyone doesn’t know what I’m talking about, Idk if these have been shared here, feimeicheng translated:

FINALLY! The Royal Brother tweets! Honestly, that was the last thing I checked before I went to bed! The translation is wonky, but it seems he's making a chocolate cake? Nothing says CONGRATULATIONS! like a chocolate cake. Tree, you're a good brother!

With Tomoki, looking kakkoii at the closing banquet. He has the classiest suits!

Adding -- Yes, the gold tie is gorgeous and so appropriate!

So proud of Shomita!! :hap10: :hap10: :hap10: :hap10:

But OMG did you guys hear about this? What is wrong with people?

I have seen that beautiful banner at so many competitions and felt so bad when I read this. It has the Prince's signature, so I'm sure it was a treasure for whoever lost it. I have his signature on a flag and don't even like to take my flag to competitions. I feel like I have to guard it with my life.

Seeing Shoma Uno win was the most amazing thing in a while for me. I started following the competitions after Olympics and I found myself caught up in wanting this athlete to win with a surprising intensity. He just has the human vibe that makes me cheer for him. It’s an amazing thing.

Welcome lariko to Shoma's FF! :) This is the place to be to show your support and love for the Prince!

Welcome lariko! :) I followed Shoma after the Olympics too! I found myself cheering for him without realising. Then I searched for his other skates and found See You Again. :luv17: My admiration grew!

I would be thrilled if all of these people won at Worlds next month :agree2:

Thank you for the welcome, everyone. :) I could not quite believe how the top competitors push the laws of reality to the curb. Uno does reach beyond even that though with the musicality and artistry. His skate would have won in the old 'yes, we are amazed' system too.

Aww, really, really happy to see him win that gold & I hope they don't over-train him, though I suppose it's his time to dare now. I can't wait to see the Worlds.

I suspect Shomatitis... :scratch2:

WOW!!! That winning free skate from Shoma was beyond Superb! I had been so conflicted whether to even watch 4CC, what with the dodgy ankle and all. Now I feel privileged to have witnessed, from afar, Shoma earning (in spectacular style) that gold medal we know he wanted so badly. I may have been still too thrilled for our man, to be able to sleep for most of that night. And for the gala, our Sho did it again, producing that gorgeous TAT, crowned with a cantilever of pure Gold!

It is, in some ways, hard to believe it has been a year since Shoma strapped on his boots in Pyeongchang and skated away with my heart. I have to wonder where he keeps them all, for I know mine is far from the only heart thus stolen. I suspect I can speak for most of us here in saying "We're so lucky to be loving you, Shoma". Not my own material but too perfect to not quote.

Wishing Shoma a speedy recovery, continued happiness and all the yakiniku his heart desires.

Welcome lariko to the Fan Fest ;) Have fun and post often!

I always thought the same thing whenever TAT ends and Harry Connick Jr. sang "So lucky~ to be loving you~" I can't help but thinking back "No, we're so lucky to be loving you!"

This makes me suspicious that David Wilson chose that song on purpose XD But just a beautiful performance at the Gala yesterday, very much the definition of cool sensuality, with that low cantilever at the end... I think I saw that he was a bit hobbled in some places (not noticeable unless you're super paying attention), most likely because of the ankle TT TT aaaahhh Shoma please rest and recover well.

I suspect Shomatitis... :scratch2:

I am afraid so :) I am quite fond of a lot of other skaters (I watch everything but ice dance) but by some reason it matters to me that Uno wins, he just manages to put the world in his corner, or something. Aww, happy day.

Loads of healing photos of the Prince (and Team Japan) here at Behind Kyodo Photos website:

Shoma's video message to fellow TOYOTA colleagues:

(Random thought: I think the "SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL BRANDS" shirt is climbing up my internal ranking of Shoma's ironic hipster shirts... it's right there with "the message. is subtle." Bonus points because Shoma's literal local brand is... TOYOTA XD)

Another photo of Sho at the Banquet, and if I'm not mistaken this is with the famed technical specialist Shin Amano XD (from his Instagram):
