Today's version of Sholero! Looking good -- even a 4T this time. Interesting (unusual?) Shospin at the end! 
Love the high energy! Very successful debut of the program, I would say. Hopefully we'll see some more at PIW soon.

I know the other versions of this video has been posted in this thread, but I gotta add just one more: Shoma's Boléro from the final day of Stars on Ice uploaded by uni on Youtube. This was broadcasted in the terrestrial (unpaid) channel so hopefully it won't get taken down.
The quality of the video is just amazing and it makes for a world of difference when it comes to capturing Shoma's speed and the details of this program.
I mean... what else to say? It's only one week after the last season ended and my adrenaline is already pumped with this program
Love the choice of this arrangement of Boléro music, love the ambitious content Stéphane is asking from Shoma, and love love love that Shoma hit the ground running and just unleashed this right out of the gate. It has been a chaotic and blessed week, and I'm so happy 
Also just wanna say that at first I think this program is going to be really challenging but just in 4 days I think Shoma is relishing this challenge a lot. He just looks so spirited and refreshed with a new program. I think Stéphane has the most different choreographic language compared to choreographers Shoma has worked with before (especially compared to Mihoko and David), and to me compared to Shoma's debut of Moonlight Sonata and DOMO, Boléro felt the least "natural" but that makes it a very fascinating program in its own way. I kept thinking "wait I didn't know Shoma can do this, I didn't know Shoma can do that" and I definitely yelled when I first saw him go for that ending pose for the first time. It has been so fun this week to follow the debut of this program.
It's definitely a brave move to go for this in an Olympic season. But honestly... Shoma was made for skating to dramatic warhorses and this is not just dramatic but also gloriously epic. I hope he can train and prepare himself the best he can for this season!

The good thing about this 'warhorse' is IMO that it's not a warhorse. It's modern and not monotonous music. It's engaging throughout. The last jump to the StSq to the split jump and the final spin with the dramatic ending throwing himself on the ice makes for a big finish which is perfect for an Olympic program. End big, Shoma.

Yeeeeessss. I know Shoma is using the instrumental version but I recommend listening to the version with the vocals of Tomotaka Okamoto. It's such a wild epic take on Boléro by a male sopranist. It's like something out of Game of Thrones, but better

This is a great version. Glad you posted it. What I love is how each day, you can see it getting a little bit better -- more sharpness in the moves, perhaps a teeny bit more stamina each time, and (for me, best of all) he appears to be enjoying the challenge. The first day he looked (understandably) so nervous! This is still just in the baby stages, but I envision it getting better and better. Love the music and am so glad it's not the usual Bolero we all know...It must have been SO hard for him (and all the other skaters, for that matter) to cope with all the uncertainty of whether competitions would or wouldn't take place. I still feel in my heart of hearts that he thought Worlds wouldn't happen.
Hopefully the upcoming season is better for all of the skaters and us skating-starved fans!

And here's Sho with the dog he named (Nita). I'm not quite sure why he was naming this dog! He is very experienced now with "wiggle worm" dogs!

There is a glimpse of Shoma in Stefan’s video. It would be so nice to see them both skating side by side. Stephan skates with the same dedication in this training clip as if he was in a competition. I couldn’t live with myself if I were to decide who does it better.

It was a bit funny to see people's first reaction to Sholero when I knew it since October 2020 that this was going to be the music and that we will get a killer step sequence

The music choice is just so epic. Of all the music out there, how do they ever choose? Watching Stephane it is hard to think that he’s not still skating competitively. This is just what Shoma needed. What a boost in every way.
