What a steady, incredible comeback after a rough period in the 2019-20 season. Also proves that, as much as young phenoms are impressive, it's career longevity, with its ups and downs, what provides depth and meaning to a journey. We are so lucky he didn't quit back in 2019, because now we can see a great skater become even better.
All I have to say is: thank you, Shoma.

Awww -- thank you for those sweet thoughts KiraraChin. And his buddy (and one of your favorites!) Kazuki has been there along side him for many of his adventures!

Just came across this and it gave me a little pain in my heart to see it today. Here is Sho with Daria Usacheva when he trained in Russia for a short time in 2019. Look at how tiny she is. I know she was a big fan of the Prince! Heal well, sweet Daria.

Gosh, Shoma at Eteri's camp - those were truly dark times...
Glad he dodged that bullet and found a place where he can be happy, healthy and get good choreo

Shoma has come a long, long way since that terrible IdF moment and despite not having many competitions and having to quarantine and without his coach a lot of the time, etc., he pulled through. I believe the MJ program tomorrow to close the comp will blow the roof off with all the moves he has in his arsenal in that program. Ecore, hmmmm....Grespi is one of the other barn burners so I hope he does the StSq from it with the fans on their feet still from his gala performance. Ride high, Shoma!
