In Shoma’s last video on his YouTube channel someone on Instagram gave an English translation that suggestions are open for future channel content. An idea I had was Shoma and Kazuki having a battle of some kind though I’m not sure what specifically. What ideas do you guys have?

Shoma doing La La Land's stsq, and Kazuki doing Sholero's.

Who was it that challenged Shoma to eat spicy noodles? Maybe some kind of food eating challenge involving vegetables! 😸

I miss the videos of Shoma learns English. More of those please.

I thought Shoma didn’t like vegetables though. He shouldn’t have to eat them if he doesn’t want to. The spicy noodle challenge came from a jumping challenge between him, Kazuki and Yuma. Shoma lost so he ate the spicy noodles.

My favorite was the English lessons. I'd love to see more of that! :points:

I actually prefer Shoma's interviews or even that time he skated around the rink on one foot a lot to the English lessons. English is a tough language to learn (I'm a native speaker, but I've heard this a lot) and I feel for him seeing him struggle with it...

Speaking of videos, it's Shoma's first skate of the year! One of the subtitles says he's "aiming for complete recovery without doing too much." The plan for tomorrow is also to do a little bit of the show program. He already looks a lot better, I hope he keeps healing! 🙏

@hamaguri[/USER] as of now, U.S. Nats are going ahead as planned. We all received an email that proof of vaccination is required for entry to the arena. In my mind, that's a good thing. We'll see what happens! I feel like they can't cancel the competition, but they can make it no audience.
Thank you! I really wish the competition will be held as planned, skaters can achieve their performance! Big big vibes to them!

Very relieved to see him skating! Hope he doesn't rush things too much. He looks good. Wonder what he plans to skate for Nagoya Festival (if he is still planning to skate).

Yees, they state that they aim for "complete" recovery and it seems he is on its way! It really relieves me!
At Mei-Fes, MJ pro, I guess?

Let's send your message to Shoma!

It seems we can send your message to athletes by post card (card only, not envelope, not present). It is directly to Beijing Olympic committee.
They will give it to athletes.
I have sent so many airmails to China at my job. I think the following address is enough. You can write your address and name in English as well.

Postal code: 100000

Attn: Shoma Uno
Figure Skating Men single
P.O.Box Beijing 102022
Beijing 100000, China

Please note the deadline is Jan.15.
I think postcards will be sent quickly usually by airmail.

I will dispatch soon from Europe. I guess it will be in time.

PS. Shoma seems not to be good at English, so use simple English! You can draw, paint, as well!..
Of course I will translate your text if you need, so please DM to me!

I've admittedly been checking Twitter too much lately to see if he's still planning to skate in the Nagoya Festival, and it appears he's still listed... I have to say I'm worried about it, but I hope he does just the bare minimum if he wants to skate.

I agree. I think the important thing is that he shows up so he doesn't have a lot of disappointed fans. I think people would be happy to see him perform MJ, even if it's just with double jumps! No fair taking any risks! :)

I wouldn't mind their disappointment as long as he heals safely. Although, if Shoma performs in such a way that the Japanese fans are left wishing they could yell "Shoma-kun kakkoii" I suppose it's all right. 🤣 Not like I would ever do anything like that...

Speaking of which, here's some Nagoya Festival online ticket info!

Edit: The time is actually from 18:25 JST to 21:25 JST. For me, that's 1:25 to 4:25 am PST...not good. :dbana:

The US Postal Service is experiencing huge delays right now so it may take longer for letters from fans from the US to get to Shoma. I sent Shoma a letter over the summer and it took almost a month before it arrived. Tracking a letter or package allows you to see where it is in the delivery process but it does cost more $. Even if he isn’t fluent in English his manager or someone on his team could translate the letters to him.

Yeah, I think you should not use track or something. You should use only airmail. And they don't expect any registered mail. If it's a post card, airmail is around only 2$, I guess.
If it does not reach in time, it should not cause any damage. The committee may accept. Yeah, he has a manager, but in this situation, those who can go to Beijing is strictly controlled and reduced (the number of stuff, trainers, etc.). Tokyo was like that and I am sure this time is more strict. And he is in the competition. So just write lightly not to burden him is consideration, I think...

PS. I posted this morning! I am like, it's lucky if it reaches him! Not so serious.

The cakes are beautiful, happy birthday to Itsuki! Baron zooming around at top speed never fails to make me laugh out loud. And how clever is Tora helping herself to tissues/ wet wipes!
Baron should get a speeding ticket. They need to put him in agility.
