I'm so sorry everyone...I simply couldn't stay up long enough to watch Shoma perform, and couldn't stop dreaming about him doing badly. Not as bad as I'd feared (the languidness of Gravity finally translates on screen!), but I guess the other men must have done badly enough for Shoma to be in 2nd place after the non-combo...(haven't seen the rest of the men yet...) I was hoping he'd at least get a double toe! *sigh*

Edit after seeing the rest of the men: To think he was the only one without a combo... Hang in there Shoma! I believe in you and know you can do well in the free! Show us your beautiful fire once more!

ISU youtube if you can manage VPN or sit in a non-blocked country
or try cbc.ca they usually also have lots of stuff on demand and mostly not blocked

Practice notes appear kind of rough for Shoma...but I am still hoping our little world champion does well.

Not worried -- Shooms is a great long program skater. Too bad about the combo. Think I may have to sleep during the ice dance. That all night stuff two nights in a row kills me! I see Sho skates at 6:05 am my time.

GO FOR THE GOLD SHOOMS!!!!

Totally O,.T. -- you know what move I love in Gravity? That little skip that he does! It looks so cool!

Congratulations to our fabulous Shoma. Shame about the popped flip but he is in a class of his own. Amazing mental strength as always. I wonder why the step sequence is level 3?

Haha. Stepen and Demi-san lifting Shoma up into the air is so Team Champery! The program is so beautifully skated even with a blip but that will iron out by GPF. Congrats to Shoma and the team for making the GPF. Wish I could go to Torino. Never been to that city but Italy will have to wait until 2026 for me.

Glad to have actually stayed up very early to watch our little legend, our little prince, our little world champion.(I'd like to thank my cat, she helped a lot!) Jumps seemed to be of better quality than in Canada (for the most part) and and the beautiful artistic qualities shine a little more! So glad Shoma is on to the Grand Prix Final once more! Time to sleep!

Great fight Shoma!!! I was too nervous to watch but I shouldn't have worried. Pop on the flip but really, great fight getting the 4T and 4T2T in. He's just so beautiful with the Aria, I lost count of how many times I gasped seeing so many beautiful moments in the program. His hands and arms are really just the best in the field right now.

GPF, here we go!!!! Have fun to all who are going to Turin!

Glad to see good jumps (even with no combo ) and fabolous twizzles . Both the programs are getting better and better, can't wait to see him in Torino in less than a month

The prince of chaos strikes again.......seems like it worked b/c his jumps/landings were noticeably more stable today.

Yayyyy Shoma well done!! Combo game still needs adjusting but a beautiful skate once again. I just love this free so much. When I heard about him adjusting his blades after the 6 min warmup I couldn't believe it at first, he really is a crazy man!

Also... I will get to see Shoma live for the first time at GPF!! I still can't believe it, I'm so excited!! I don't know how I'm gonna survive Hoping to get to meet many other Shoma fans as well!
