Also more photos of Shoma at the Champery show. The costume is made by Hiromi Watanabe (you can see her posting on Instagram). Such a beautiful shade of blue!
I was just coming here to post the link where you can see it better. I don't think it's blue green, nor is it the Turandot or DOMO blue. It's an odd shade of blue, but I thought it was very beautiful. You can see the detail up close here. Plus one sleeve is darker which kind of fools your eyes a bit. It definitely looked great on the ice. Click on the first photo. Love the beading. The lighting changes its appearance too.It appears to be more of a blue-green, similar to the Moonlight Sonata costume (one of my sentimental favorite Shoma costumes). @Arriba627, can you confirm what color that gorgeous costume was? Or were you too bedazzled by it to notice?![]()

Wah OPOI public practice videos!!! Everyone looks serious and happy. Also Shoma lifting Marin footage??? I did not expect that

Kazuki, notorious for wearing UNO1 gloves whenever he has the chance, rocked up in what looks like a UNO1 t-shirt at the OPOI public rehearsals! He never misses a chance to hype up his bestie
Thank you so much for your report Arriba! I know you're not really an ice show person yourself but I'm glad you got the chance to be at Champery and experience the magic (pun intended) in person and reconnect/connect with other Shoma fans. It really felt like a dream isn't it? Such a magical show in such a small town far away from everything... and yet.A few final thoughts about L'Apprenti Sorcier and then I'll stop. It wasn't my intention to spam the thread, and I think I didn't realize how many posts I've done, which is a little odd considering I'm not a huge fan of ice shows! LOL. I regret not starting a separate thread on this show in The Edge, because it was really very unique, and of course, the amazing setting of magical Champery was the icing on the cake. Such a friendly, calm place with the tranquility and beauty of the mountains. I can see that in the storms of life that Shoma had in 2019, this was 100% the perfect place for him to be in order to rejuvenate himself. I think Stephane said he needed a calm environment, and this was it! I could definitely see where it is not a place for everyone, but I think it was perfect for him...As far as the shows:
--Both shows were very well attended, and audiences were super appreciative and engaged with lots of cheering and clapping in time to the music.
--The group numbers were well thought out and (thankfully) had real choreo, not just a bunch of token arm waving. Apart from the elite skaters, Stephane's students had a significant role and looked very advanced to me for their ages. Interesting that their spins looked pretty amazing -- but then I guess when you have a spinning guru like Stephane teaching you, that shouldn't have been a surprise.
--I've already said how I loved the live pianist, and I wish I could have taken the piano home with me. (Played my own piano when I got home and said "Ugh!". No comparison!). Koshiro and Deniss really outdid themselves and gave 120% Juulia and Matthias did a great job with their Hungarian Rhapsodies. I was totally captivated by the ethereal duet of Satoko and Stephane to Tchaikovsky's Sleeping Beauty. It was so magical it seemed that they were skating above the ice and not on it, if that makes sense!
--Shoma was Shoma. Yes, he may have been a magician, but people have been calling him a magician since 2015 when he made his senior debut. My only complaint would be that his program was more of an SP length, and it was over WAY too fast. He was on the ice many other times too, so we definitely had a chance to see him.
--Lyyli did some great detective work and found that the place where he was sitting on the fence with the beautiful scenery in the background was most likely a restaurant that was very close to our hotel, called Cantine sur Coux. https://www.bing.com/search?q=canti...efig=0E8ED6739EF34601A449A40310BD2977&pc=U531 Satoko has a picture of it on her Instagram.
--Finally, for those who thought Shoma should have gone to the Olympic medal ceremony and should have skipped the dress rehearsal, I could see that this would have been a bad idea. This show had intricate choreo and multiple entrances and exits where timing was crucial. The group numbers looked well rehearsed and not haphazard like some of the other shows I have seen.
--After Champery, I spent some time in Geneva. After the tranquility of Champery, it seemed busy, noisy, crowded, etc., nonetheless Lake Geneva was very beautiful. I am so glad I made the decision to go. I will never forget this trip and the chance to connect and reconnect with other Sho fans.View attachment 8228

Is this a collaboration soon to come?Oh wow, just saw that the collaboration number for Friends on Ice for Sho and Stephane is "Fall on Me". I believe it's the Andrea Bocelli version. I'm intrigued! Words are perfect! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ChcR2gKt5WM
(someone else's comment, not mine) The song by FOI's Uno/Stephan collaboration is "Fall On Me" from the movie "The Nutcracker and the Four Realms," so I looked up the lyrics and found that it's about Stephan's splendid love for Shoma Uno, who is leaving, and the second verse in particular is very moving. Uno usually skates without thinking about lyrics, but I hope he knows the Japanese translation of this one. The lyrics might make some Sho fans cry!
"One day you will find what your heart desires / Don't give up, I'll be by your side / I know, everything you've always dreamed of, everything you've always hoped for / I'm waiting for you, no matter where you go / Believe in yourself step by step / Every day I watch with pride and a smile / My love is stronger than a stone and eternal / Don't be afraid, You are not alone", "To me / Arms outstretched / To me / Arms outstretched / From where you are / To me / In all light / With all light / With all light"

Yes, this is a collaboration planned to be skated at Friends on Ice at the end of August (Aug 30, 31 and Sep 1). It was revealed during a talk show program meant to promote the show between Shizuka Arakawa (the chairman), Mao Asada and Daisuke Takahashi, along with other songs that other skaters will skate to.Is this a collaboration soon to come?
Google Friends On Ice 2024. There you will see dates, cast, etc.Is this a collaboration soon to come?
Ohh, there was apparently a commercial for One Piece on Ice airing during the One Piece anime itself this morning in Japan! Shoma looks very good as Monkey D. Luffy.
Also there's a video of unused answers at Mezamashi TV from Shoma, Marin, Mura and Rika Hongo during their interview after the cinema screening of One Piece on Ice:
Most of Shoma's work is near / around Tokyo at the moment (practices for ice shows, media work) so Tokyo seems to be a practical place to live at. Itsuki remains in Nagoya, with the cafe. Why did Shoma move to Tokyo? He likes his life with the family in Nagoya so I am surprised he has struck out on his own. Or is his brother living in Tokyo? Or is he living with Marin?
