Shun Sato is going to skate last tomorrow, at 4:20pm, I hope that his Short Program will be as wonderful as Mone Chiba's, who skated last in the Women's Short Program.

I'm really sorry that Shun Sato was scored so low, while some other skaters got so high scores...
He's clearly perceived at "the threat" and there's not as much economical power behind too?

I'm hoping and praying for world medallist Shun Sato!!
I think there's a high chance he'll get at least a bronze medal.

That Components score, when you compare to Men who are rather far behind in Skating Skills, Performance and don't have such a good program...

I am fed up with these judges omg. No hate against Kevin, but he got 90 PCS with a FALL like come ON now. Shun got lower scores when he was BETTER here

A fall shouldn't always mean much lower Components, but regarding Shun Sato, it's as if he hadn't reached that level of proficiency and refinement in his skating, and this interpretation...I am fed up with these judges omg. it should not.... but when you consider the *interruption of the performance* part of it all.... and that some skaters seem to get penalised for everything....

In my opinion too, it depends on how and if the performance is interrupted, rather than an automatic deduction. Practically, it seems to depend more on who falls, indeed.

Happy he at least walks away with a medal, even if the PCS turned out to be a sham. Medalled at every competition he attended this year!!! consistency when needed, helps a lot in this men's field.
The Firebird program has been so strong and consistent all season, despite immense pressure on Shun especially at Nationals and the Olympics team event.
I wasn't worried about the practices not being great since that has happened before. I'm so glad that he got the bronze, but I was also hoping that he would get high enough scores for at least silver.

The Japan Skating Federation has posted Shun Sato's splendid Firebird, for which I'm grateful to them:
