Deserves higher PCS!

Good luck to Shun at Skate Canada and Cup of China!
I would rather say, given that his popped 4F was visible and he lost a few steps, and he touched the board in the Short, that he's the only one who deserved his scores, and was forgotten by the candy rain showered on others. He's really among the top skaters now in terms of components, and it infuriates me when skaters with a Novice level of components are given scores deserved only by... let's not give names, in a way or in another. This alone gives the most favoured, an undeserved advantage of around 45 points between the Short and the Free. Here are the scores, I leave you to calculate:
When one adds the errors, called on him and uncalled on some others...

Sorry for this rant. I'm so happy that he got pandas! He definitely had fans in Bergamo. I'm quite grateful to them, because my own panda for him has been waiting very long!

I'm liking Shun's LiL more and more each time I see it. I hope they will tweak the 3A timing so that it lands on the dramatic moment in the music. He did it at Lombardia but not at the most recent competition.

I wish Shun Sato the best Free Skating at Skate Canada!
I still don't find his Short Program on Youtube, here it is on Bilibili:

It's Friday morning in Chingqing, this evening Shun Sato will skate as the penultimate of the second group in the Short Program, I wish him the best!

Congratulations to Shun Sato for his lead after the Short Program in Chongqing, and for his new Season's Best with 98.75!
I wish him to keep his lead at the Free Skating tomorrow!
(I couldn't find any video yet.)

Addendum : here are the score sheets of the Men's Short Program:
The first three are remarkable in having the same jump "arsenal" in their Short Program, with a 4Lz, a 4T and a 3A.

Congratulations to Shun Sato for his victory at the Cup of China! I was really hoping it, without expecting it in fact. I'm so happy!
There's a "funny" thing though: had Mikhail Shaidorov won and Shun Sato be second, the Final would have had four skaters deserving their place there, and two not; while in this configuration, there's only three skaters deserving their place, which means more ridiculously overscored skaters, and less chances of a medal for Shun Sato. I hope that he will beat this adversity!

CBC have posted a video of his Free Skating:

NekoMasamune, the mascot of the Sendai Tourism Board, has applauded his victory, Mone Chiba's Silver Medal, and their qualification for the Grand Prix Final; he's not forgotten in Sendai:

In fact, NekoMasamune had already posted about their first place in the Short Program:

There are also two new videos on Youtube, relating the choreographing of his Short Program (which is certainly out of his comfort zone, but develops his lyrical expression and he really interprets it as if it was natural to him) with Guillaume Cizeron:

and still about his Short Program, the music:

I wish Shun Sato the best Short Program at the Grand Prix Final, and a fair score, which seems even more difficult!
I'm really sorry of his fall on the 4Lz; and even more for how far he is now in score from the first. I haven't watched the skates yet, I just see from the score some "abnormally high" scores given what the skaters seem to be able to.

I really hope that Shun Sato will have an excellent Free Skating this Saturday, it's Yuzuru Hanyu's 30th birthday after all!
