Skate Canada 2024 Next Gen Competition and Camp | July 26-28

So much to watch with Olympics and skating. I’m finally caught. The Junior Boys results was exactly what I wanted.

1) Anthony Paradis - What a star he is. I forgot when it was his turn to skate and was stunned by his opening pose. This boy is a future star for Canada. He has more presence and star quality than so many other skaters. He just has to learn a 3A and then watch out

2) David Howes - This is he is third competition this season and it showed with how he went for safer 3T 3T combo instead.

3) Edward has a 3A. But, I liked his PCS too

The above three are my clear favourites

After such a good Nationals last season, she no longer has any triples. But, she presented that program much better than Uliana. If only she could jump like Uliana.
Wow! Not even over 100 total score

It will be a challenge for Stavrina to make it past Quebec Sectionals at this rate

Started off with a 3Lz 3T, then a 3S 3T<<….. then, she lost her energy and her jumps got worse and worse…. Ending with a 1A eu 2S

72.8, total 111.11, TES dropped about 8 points.

A mixed skate - Two hard falls (particularly the second one) but also some good combinations in the second half. Probably going to get some rotation calls though.

Kara's dress is so pretty I think it broke the TES box with its prettiness.

I think the move to Lee Barkell is good for her. Pretty good TES too, 52.86.

I think this will be enough to get Kara Yun one JGP event. Her total score was almost 140 and the free skate was a bit of a redemption skate.

She scored 156.24 at her JGP event last season and with that being an international event, it has basically secured her a spot

This is a W for Natasha! She seems to be a bit better than last Season already. I think Brian Orser is a good coach and a good camp to be in

I don't think the music to the first set of jumping passes helped Reese with the pops in the beginning. But with the way her wrist is bandaged, I was really worried about her falling.
