Almost always reserved for journalist but I must admit I enjoy watching such a tiny girl give such a menacing glare. The hipster inside of me appreciates such irony

Wow, I'd forgotten about Hubert, but she owns the glare. Almost creepy.
I don't really see Yulia's glare so much. Maybe because she seems to smile pretty openly off the ice.

I'd also add Anna Pogorilaya to that list of death stare/scary b*tchface ones. Definitely not a happy camper there.

Mao Asada - spiral, step sq, 3A aren't options. Kind of sad. Also sad that botched 3-jump combinations, pumping palms up during a spiral - Sotnikova isn't an option.

I'd love to see her incorporate that move into her programs this year. So few people can hit a full 180 Charlotte. It's a very effective move when it's used correctly.

:agree: Agree re: the Charlotte; just wish she had held it a wee bit longer. The spiral a few seconds later was also very pretty. I'm not a fan but gotta give credit where it's due!

Wow! Truly 180 extension, you weren't kidding! And I love how she went right into "dramatic pose!" mode right after the 3T. Right on beat with the music.

Her arabesque spiral is wonderful too. Great extension, and excellent pointed toe. I love how she doesn't drop her back like some skaters do. With Mao gone, it's good we still have someone with a lovely arabesque.

Woww, I would love to see Adelina do that in competition, she has such a lovely extension, I think it's unlikely she'll do a solo 3T in a competition though, she could go for another jump such as the 3S

Or she could possibly do a 2A. She could hold the RBO edge (curve it more) and step forward into the axel. It'd be a similar entrance to the one she used in her SP this year.

Can't decide which one. Irina Slutskaya and Carolina Kostner's triple loop after the running three turns. Can't think of anyone else who performs the loop off that sort of difficult entrance.
