Of course, I am going to say America's Elaine Zayak, the gal who brought athleticism into women's skating. Her ability to compete well in spite of having 1/2 of a left foot displays tremendous heart and courage. In the 1980's, figures were mandatory. Amazingly, she was able to place as high as 4th in figures at the 1982 Worlds and become world champion.
