Sofia Akateva

Well senior nats are the only difference I think.. and Samodelkina wasn't at Russian cup final... loss of junior worlds is sure painful, I wonder how much more unfortunate she can be, first her unfortunate birth date, covid and now this. Junior Worlds is really not worth watching...
Nor is the senior worlds for me (maybe I'll just support Morisi, would like to see him finishing till 10th place to provide a spot for Nika Egadze).

I really, really hope at least juniors will be allowed to skate internationally next season and without losing quotas.

Oh she can be much more unfortunate especially with the birthdate if they move the age limit to 18 by the next Olympics and since she was born after July 1st SA would miss those Olympics. But let's hope they just go to 16 for the next couple years then reevaluate. If you look at skaters in their late teens or early twenties like Rika and Loena they are always hurt. Raising the age limit will not slow down injuries. And in Russia it won't lengthen careers as long as they're only allowed 3 ladies in an international competition.

If I was her or her family I would be super angry at the fed for keeping her out of senior nationals. Especially since Anna won her 1st senior nationals at 14.

April Sunday, but it's a pity that it's not very sunny hello! ❄️☃️ The competition season is over. Once again, I want to thank the coaches for their patience, attention, and great contribution to my results. To my loved ones – for their unconditional love and support. Fans - for their warmth and trust. And figure skating – for bringing so much good and important things into my life. There is time to take a bit of a breather before preparing for next season, but it's going to be a busy month.

should her last name on the thread title be corrected to Akatyeva?
I can't swear on it bu I think the name here was Akatieva (wwhich is IMO a better transcription Sofia's name) originally but then it was corrected into this form, when it appeared in the ISU official records.
