Thank you so much Hailey for your amazing coverage as always!!
I really hope my girls will do well at this competition and I'm also very curious to see how Haein Lee will do at her first senior Nats, she left me with a very good impression at the ranking competition :hap85:
Also, biggest shout out to Icescape Rasu yt channel for uploading videos so fast and with that quality! I'm always speechless at the crazy amount of work they do just to let everyone out there enjoy the competition!

The fan from the live rink periscoped Eunsoo, Yelim and Young's first day official practice!

Seems like Eunsoo's back in pretty good shape, jumped well all over her free skating run through, and very very nice jumps they were! 3Lz-3T huge 2A-3T clean as a whistle!
Yelim changed her lalaland music ost cuts a little bit, and also nicely done with 3Lz(rippon)-3T and 2A-3T. She skipped few jumps intentionally though.
Young did short program run through, unlike others, and did great job with 3Lz-3T, 3F and 2A. Very nice.

Looks like it would be a hell competition towards junior worlds tickets.

Yes, he skipped it. Maybe due to his jet lag? He had to take a flight to attend this competition, CAN to KOR..:scratch3:
and I also have to say that Haein is one of my new favorite. haha

yeah, it's bit sad.. esp for Eunsoo. The home olympic fights will be between seniors like Dabin Choi, Soyoun Park, and who just came to seniors like Hanul Kim and Sohyun An.

Men also only have 2 spots for Junior Worlds right? I want Junhwan to go to JWC, but that makes me sad. Younghyun's air position looks like it's gotten tighter which is good because his programs choreographically and musically are my favorites out of the junior men bunch. Geon hyeong looks like he's in a pretty good condition too. Sihyeong makes me so happy so I want him to go too.:luv17:

As for ladies, I'm hoping for an Eunsoo and YY team though I really admire how much Yelim has improved after she changed her programs, but I think these two are the ones who stand a better chance against the Russian and Japanese ladies. I really want them to get the 3 spots for next year. All three are looking really good though.

-Combined scores of this event and 2017 Ranking competition(which was held in Dec, 2017), 8 ladies, 4 men will be selected as National team for next season.

Does that mean that Yunkyung won't be part of the national team for next season...?:sad21: Best spinner out of the Korean ladies and this.

Yes two spots for both jr men and ladies for jr worlds.
And unfortunately, yes, Yunkyung missed the opportunity to hop into a national team next season. But I just hope her to be get healthy and back to the competition soon as she can, then I believe next-next year's national team would be hers.

Dabin went back to Dr.Zhibago soundtrack, which was her last season's free program, and also Jun hwan went back to Il postino, which also was his last season's free. So shame to miss the Planet!! It was my favorite..

Jun Hwan's Il Postino was one of my favorite programs last year, so I'm happy to see it back! Hope he brings back the Planets though next year.

while i LOVE Il postino, i sometimes feel like changing programs became a bit of a habit for Jun, still crying for this one :sad21: but his form look so much better!! results for men will be heartbreaking no matter the outcome for me, almost similar to Japanese ladies

Edit : i have a question, when you said Yunkyung isnt on national team next season does it mean she wont have a chance to compete at JGP? thats just not fair

I'm pretty sure anyone who's of rank 7 or higher (which Yunkyung is) can participate in the competition to determine JGP spots so she's safe there, but I'm kind of worried about funding.:/ If she's not on the national team does that mean she loses her funding (if there even is any LOL)? It'll be a huge waste if this drives her away from the sport!! She has such a good air position and those spins are so good.:sad21:
