South Korean Ranking Competition, 01–03 December 2017

What happened to the Kim siblings?

I heard that they decided to end to be a team. I don't know why, and was really surprise to me.:disapp:

Question: Since You, Eunsoo and Yelim are too young for senior comps, are they just at this competition for fun or are they in consideration for some other junior assignments based on their performance here?

There are only two junior world spots, so one of them is going to be left out. :/

Jr world competitiors will be determined with the results of the Nationals, not this.
But this competition also determine national skaters for next year, that's why they all compete:)

Hailey, you are our ace once again!! thanks so much for your reports! i admire your dedication watching so many skaters in very cold rink :thank: giving you :ghug: so that you can feeel warmer  cant wait to see videos!! and wow 67 is huge score when you think Korean judging  also happy to see Dabin, Eunsoo and Yelim skated well

:( Thanks for the answer.

I also have been wondering about Richard Kangchan Kam. Has he retired?

Haha you mean Richard Kang"in" Kam maybe? the brother of Alex Kam? I don't know how he's doing since he ends with Hojung who is a coach now.. Maybe he's finding a new partner for him? Cuz I don't hear any official retirement from him.

Very happy for everyone else (except poor Nahyun and Hanul too :sad14:), and it looks like the judging in Korea is starting to become less strict than before (yay)!

I have a question that kinda relates to this:
I know that this is one of the competitions that count for the Olympic selection process. Does the federation consider the placements/rankings of the skaters or the actual total scores that they received? Because if it’s placements/rankings, then having the juniors compete would mess things up very badly.

#7 Jun hwan Cha 4S(maybe <) 3Lz-3T(great!!) 3A(seems < and fall) :sad21: But he seems better than last trial in summer...

Scored 75.24 and current 2nd

#8 Jinseo Kim 3Lz-1T 3A(little scratch) 2Lo Sorry maybe jump layout can be little incorrect. 60.24 points and Current 5th.

#9 Si hyeong Lee 3F-3T 2A 3Lz clean! Lovely presentation :)
68.14 and 3rd place at all.

They sum up the whole score of three competitions(summer competition, this one, and the Nationals) to make the olympic team ;)
So the score actually is important.

Does anyone know if Jinseo is working with an injury? It looked like he limped off the ice there! :(
