Thanks for your reply! It looks like center ice seats are already sold - only end of the long side of the rink, or the shorter sides of the rink. Sorry don’t know the technical terms. Would either of these choices be preferable to the other?
You asked Ic3Rabbit, not me, but here I go giving my two cents anyway.I sprang for rink floor seats once, and was disappointed. Sometimes I couldn't see the skaters ... especially because it's dark with spotlighting. I've been much happier sitting 8 or 10 rows back, in the center section. But if you really want floor seats, I'd go with the dead-on end, or as you say, the shorter sides of the rink. You might get better visibility that way.
And I ended up telling her the best for her specific arena in a PM after looking as there were no center seats anyway as I mentioned. So thanks? Sitting on the floor seats is just fine, been there done that many times. Ten rows back depending on the arena is not always best bet. And they set up a bit differently in every rink. The end opposite where they come out of the tunnel/curtain is best after center and long side of rink is sold. If you’re the short side near curtain you aren’t going to see much. Also, last years show was alot darker than usual. This was one of those: You had to be here at the moment to be involved kind of thing, no reason to be rude.

I am lucky enough to be 1) retired and 2) live four miles from the arena, so I drove myself to the Box Office in late December, which had *far* more seats available than were shown online.
Back then it was the only way to score backstage passes. When they separated them from the show tickets in 2014, I sat in the 3rd or 4th row. The difference in price between that and the floor seat was just about enough to cover the cost of the M&G pass...I bought a ticket to the Long Island show at Nassau Coliseum. This will be my first SOI tour but not my first trip to NC, since I saw concerts there growing up on LI. They recently renovated the entire place, too!
There are a lot of tickets left at the moment, and it looks like they aren't even selling the tickets in the back mezzanine.

Is “NC” Nassau Coliseum? I was wondering if it was still standing, I was there over 40 years ago.
The PPL Center in Allentown, however, is a mere three years old![]()
I swore by on-ice seats for many years at the skating shows I frequented. I generally enjoy them, but they’re not without a couple of annoying drawbacks. The biggest one was that they placed a prop right in front of us one year (we were at the end), partially blocking our view of the skater. And during finales, sometimes you’ll have one of the skaters themselves partially obstructing your view. But then you get to low-5 them afterward so it’s all goodBack then it was the only way to score backstage passes. When they separated them from the show tickets in 2014, I sat in the 3rd or 4th row. I see that M&G’s are now gone for the shows closest to me, so that’s a wrap!

The dates have been announced for the post Olympic SOI tour - many more dates this year. I might be able to go to the Long Island show!
Cast includes Nathan, Ashley, the Shibs, Karen, Jason and Meryl/Charlie.
No Adam???? But Jason - come on.

Although I will be happy to see Adam too and expect a large cheering contingent from the Abingtons to attend “my” show.:thumbsup:Excuse me? We never hear anything except how Jason should do shows, if you like Jason’s skating go to shows, he’s just popular because of the audience, and here we are talking about a *show* and he still gets dissed?![]()
Jason was announced as part of the initial cast, and Adam added about a month later, not that it matters....And of course I bought my tix based on the fact that Jason was the cast,Although I will be happy to see Adam too and expect a large cheering contingent from the Abingtons to attend “my” show.
