Survivor China - Anyone Watching???

A few random observations, almost a week later...

Dave (he's the ex-model dude, right??) is just a TWIT. I loved it when whatshername that got voted off called him "Zoolander":laugh::laugh:..... I thought the reward challenge with the giant balls was really cool until it degenerated into Mud Wrestling 101 -- it would have been ONE thing if they'd been rolling around with each other in the mud to actually keep the ball from going over the line or wherever it wasn't supposed to go, but near as I can tell, the ball had about one person moving it while duos and trios seemed to be just rolling around in the mud for the sake of rolling around in the mud..... And is it just my imagination, or does there seem to be a rather large amount of -- er -- rather large bustlines -- going on this season?? It's like if you're a woman, you weren't allowed to be on this edition unless you look like you just came out of a Russ Meyer film......

Well, my DH must have the same imagination...all through the episodes, all I hear from him is "OMG, look at those blah blah blah!" LOL!

Actually if you watched the first episode closely...many of the women weren't wearing bras and they suitcases were taken from them before they could get a bra on. That's why the men are wondering around in thier underwear all the time. Also, some of the rather endowed women are not wearing bras that provide proper support!

I'm glad Ashley got kicked off ... for that reason alone!!!

Ya think by now tribe members would know how to dress before they get there, swimsuit under long pants or shorts some type of t-shirt and hat.
Why they bring extra clothes they know there not going to get to keep with them.

I KNOW -- "Packing for Survivor" has about as much point as "Polishing the Silverware on the Titanic While It Sinks"..... It's like Excuse me, have you actually ever watched this show before you auditioned for it??? And there always seems to be at least ONE who's all ticked off because they apparently expected to get dumped off at a Club Med or something......

I wonder if Kwanford wife reads this thread?? Tonight it seems like they're featuring James and if anyone remembers KW did a couple of YOWZA's (sp??) here.

Dee

They may be bringing extra clothes with them in hopes of making the jury if they fail to make the final 2 or 3. Jury members always seem to clean up well.

The stupidity of how the Survivors show up for the show will never cease to amaze me. High heels, dresses, bra-less, etc. I am one that always likes to be prepared. I would go with an insulated thermal undershirt under another long sleeve top and with a t-shirt in-between and a bathingsuit under all that, and a pair of those pants that zip off to be shorts...and probably some sort of other shorts under those pants...and a couple pairs of socks and comfortable, sturdy shoes...but that's just me, LOL! All that stuff would come in handy...I'd have something to stash somewhere to keep dry so when my other clothes got wet, I could change, and I wouldn't freeze at night....because it seems that no matter where Survivor is, the days are hot and the nights are cold! I wouldn't care how uncomfortable I was with a bunch of layers on getting there.

Is anyone else afraid that the super-skinny blonde, Courtney?, is going to break in two or just totally get sick? She looks SO fragile!!!

I'm beginning to get a better feel of which people I like and which I don't. So far I'm really liking Todd. I'm not liking Dave or John Robert at all.

Patch, I know what you mean about Courtney and she's my person in our game at work. I was a little scared for her tonight. I thought the reward challenge was a little disgusting regarding the lack of clothes...I was eating my dinner while watching..ugh.

Dee

I have to agree about Courtney as well. She is way to skinny. I mean you lose weight on the show but she was deathly skinny when she got there. And personally I wish they would give them so clothes. I am sick of seeing the blurred bar on everyone's chest or behind!! Give them something to cover up....please!!

I wonder do they make people get doctors permission or anything official like that before they can be on the show? I would think anyone in their right mind would say Courtney shouldn't be there. I wouldn't be surprised if she gets so worn down that she, herself, decides to leave the game.

Also, on the wardrobe thing....didn't they used to let them take a small bag and they were each allowed to bring some sort of luxury item? Like a razor or whatever they wanted? I remember one woman took paints for some reason as her luxury item back several years ago.

I was a little disappointed in James last night and the comments he made. I was hoping he would be above that sort of thing. I, too, wish they would give them some clothes.

Does anyone else think that Leslie was a grown up child??

Dee

Count me as disappointed in James. I thought I was going to like him, but his conversation with John Robert was not a nice one....unless it was some sort of "game face" to get to know more about John Robert.

James disappointed me too. If Lesley caught onto this, it may have been her reason for not telling him the clue to the hidden immunity idol.

This is not the 1st season where the contestants were sent into the game with only the clothes on their backs. I remember one season (with Osten) where all the guys took off their clothes for the challenge. The contestants should know to expect this possibility by now.

They should have Courtney compete in the reward challenges instead of immunity. She's pretty useless in anything physical and most of the pre-merge challenges are physical. They would have been better off this week for sure since the ladies for Fu Long did not win any of their rounds of the reward challenge, but I'm sure one of the 3 would have been able to hack through those ropes quicker. I don't think Courtney's a good competitor because she kept on stopping and looking at the other team. I don't remember who finally told her to just saw through instead.

Well, this is true, but I really fail to understand how if one is only wearing a pair of underwear (or shorts) to begin with, how TAKING IT ALL OFF is gonna help you with the challenge. What hath Richard Hatch wrought??

Haven't yet come up with a favorite; I'm pretty neutral on everyone there except for John Robert and Zoolander, both of whom I pretty much dislike. I cannot believe the way Dave talks to people -- he would talk to me like that ONCE. Tho I do notice he doesn't seem to talk that way to any of the MEN, which makes him even more of a jackass.

These "American Gladiator Death Match 2007" type challenges MUST stop. I thought the last edition was bad in that department, this one is downright ridicolous. James, Aaron, and (now-departed) Ashley may be able to hold their own in stuff like this, but as for the rest -- well, someone's gonna put an eye out!! At the VERY least.....

Yay!!! They finally gave them their swimwear!!!

I was surprised at the 2 girls throwing the challenge and then their reactions. I think the person who disappointed me most was PG.

Dee

I won't be surprised if throwing the challenge comes back to bite them. Maybe being told it is time for James to return to his tribe but because they booted Aaron they only get Sherea back? Frosti stays at Fei Long. Or James is so mad he destroys the Huan Zu camp? Lots of possibilities.

I absolutely hate what PG and Jaime did! If I'd been in Eric's shoes, I'd have gone over with Aaron and James and said something like "I'm embarassed to be aligned with 2 giggling chics who throw challenges and think it's funny, let's get one of them off" I just hate it that they did that.
I hope it backfires on them something fierce!

Game-wise PG and Jamie are correct in their strategy IIIIFFFFF the tribes stay as-is. Can't fault them for thinking strategically. In the past, other tribes (on at least 2 occasions I can remember) have thrown an immunity challenge Just to get rid of someone annoying. It's always come back to haunt them.

Even if the traded members go back to their original tribes, they would be even now.
