Survivor China - Anyone Watching???

I was amazed that the members of the tribe with only five members (I am awful at remembering tribe names...I liked the year they were "Older Men", "Younger Women", etc. because I can remember those!) were not smart enough to figure out that if they were getting two members of the other tribe, then most likely two of them would be going bye-bye also.

And then those two women deliberately throwing the challenge and their attitude...I wanted to slap those smiles off their faces. :disapp: I was just starting to think that Jaime seemed like a nice girl and Peigh Gee wasn't as annoying as I thought she was going to be. But now I have no use for that team. And they should know enough to figure out that the merge could be any time or not at all. Have they never watched this show? I think a team with only five members needs to hang on to every member as long as possible!

Courtney looks more like a skeleton every week. I have seen anorexic people who look healthier. I wonder why they did not let her work on the puzzle in the immunity challenge. That did not take physical strength.

The whole time I was watching the one tribe say they'd have more numbers, I was hollering at the tv "you dummy, DUH, aren't you smart enough to know that you're trading members, not just getting two to your tribe!"

LOL!

I wonder if they really are going to merge next week or just change tribes.

I don't know, Dee, but boy, things sure did backfire with the immunity idol going to James and him using it to get Jaime out. And my favorite player, Todd, looks like he's going to be in some trouble next episode. I finally have a handle on who is who but still don't know who is on which tribe and which color buff represents which tribe!
I am kind of glad Cherea was booted off because she seemed to only run her mouth and not do much of anything. She tried to make it seem like she was the only one who fought in the challenges...okay, so maybe she was bodily large enough to run over some of the other people she's up against, but she certainly wasn't solely responsible for wins.
And when is the tribe with Courtney going to get wise to play her in reward challenges and sit her during immunity challenges? I kind of hope she goes soon...I didn't like her attitude from the very beginning when she was rolling her eyes when the Chinaman was showing her how to put her hands in the proper position for that ritual they had at the very beginning of the show. That was disrespectful. She has no strength in challenges but all of a sudden started running her mouth this past week.

The previews for next week clearly have Jeff giving them new buffs. So, I'm pretty sure it's time to merge.

I don't think that the Fei Long losing the immunity challenge totally changed the strategy - at least for James. Fei Long preserved their numbers by voting out Sherea.

It could bite Todd in the butt and has definitely strengthened James's position, for sure. I think Todd was counting on owning the only immunity idol. If his strategy had worked, Fei Long's #'s would have been preserved, James would have used one immunity idol and have had to give the remaining one to Todd, and the alliance of Jamie with both PG and virgin boy would have been broken.

Since Fei Long couldn't eat fast enough, Todd is at a disadvantage. It'll be hard to eliminate James between his physical prowess during challenges and because he has possession of one of the idols. Also, Todd has to share his with Amanda and Frosti.

If these players are smart, Fei Long (dragons) will stick together. There have been so many seasons where the dominate tribe at the merge falls apart and results in someone from the minority team being in the finals or getting close, at least.

I realize that the immunity idols are not located in the most SUBTLE of locations; nonetheless, there HAD to be a better way than just randomly taking that gate thing (I'm sure there's a name for it, but architectural terms are not my area of expertise) totally apart in front of everyone; nothing suspicious about THAT at all...

My only guess about their lack of subtlty is that they needed to give it to James before he left.

I think Amanda was trying to be discreet by trying to knock down the structure instead of just taking the plaque. Todd just brought more attention to her by joining her.

It would've been smarter to just pretend to be looking out contemplatively and perhaps performing some stretching excercises to ply the idol down.

Now, everyone knows that something is up. I think Sherea and JR and PG are possibly the only ones that might not know that at least one idol has been found.

I know Courtney is rather a mouthy one. She is my pick in our work game though so I will stick by her.

Unless James wins the immunity, I would think he is a prime target. I like how Todd is playing the game. He will get rid of those strong guys as soon as he can.

For some reason the person I don't like is PG. I didn't like the giggling when they threw the challenge and she disappointed me.

I don't want to post a spoiler, but tonights episode (11/1) was a real HOOT!!!
The tribes DID merge.
I can't wait til others chime in on what they thought of the 11/1 episode!

It WAS one of the better ones -- "Oh, hee hee hee, is this, like, an immunity idol?". "No." [And tossing it into the fire was just the perfect touch!!]. If I were Jamie, I'd've been grateful to have been voted out because otherwise I would have felt like walking around with a bag over my head for the next 3 days out of sheer embaressment. Tho she had a point when she said it was definitely worth a shot.

These people are starting to crack me up. James with his numerous reference to "her dumb ***" and then Todd with his "I need Jean Robert for my numbers, so deal with it -- b****". I actually do think that Courtney is going to go pretty far, but no way on earth is anyone on that jury actually going to vote for her if she makes the final 3. Or 2, however they're doing it this season. (I say they should cut it back to 2. They've done it with 3 what, twice now, and both times #3 was someone who was basically riding coattails....)

I'm glad someone else chimed in so I can talk about it more. Didn't want to spoil it for anyone.
I hated that Jaime looked in James' pants, but she was dumb since she went that far to not look ALL the way in them...but then again, it benefited the people I like that she didn't find out she didn't really have a true immunity idol.
I just cracked up throughout the whole show...including at the comment by James about Jaime thinking she had an idol.
And when Jaime said "Jeff, I have a question, I found this and I think it's an immunity idol". Jeff goes on to explain what happens with an immunity idol then just blandly says "this isn't an immunity idol" (or something to that effect) and tosses it into the fire. The look on Jaime's face was priceless.
It was kind of ironic-funny that at the beginning of the individual immunity challenge Frosti says "I'm screwed, my memory stinks" and then he went forward to win. I got all 4 questions correct, too, playing along at home. I knew they needed to pay attention to what when on at the feast. The camera zoomed in on that dragon on the table almost immediately so I knew it was going to be part of the challenge.
Right now my favorite players are Todd, Amanda, Denise, James and Eric.
I hope it's just a final 2 this season as well. The final 3 thing seems senseless.

Considering that they merged with 10 players & Jaime became the 1st member of the jury that leaves 9 left. 6 of those will complete the jury which will leave 3 to participate in the final.
I loved the tribal council this week. One of the best ever! Just hope I will be able to say that The Amazing Race 12 is the best ever too. Starts tomorrow night!

It's final 3. At the merge, they were 10 and Jamie is the 1st member of the jury.

The point of making a final 3 is to increase the odds that 2 strong players will make it to the end. Most final 2 seasons had one strong player and one weak player. Sometimes there would actually end up being 2 weaker players who just got lucky during the last immunity challenge. I don't recall any season of Survivor where there were 2 really strong players at the end, except when there's been a final 3.

I gotta say, I think this edition is shaping up to be the best one, IMO, since Pearl Islands.... Which unfortunately is not really saying a lot....

Anyway... I'm not sure what cracked me up more -- James referring to Todd as a "stewardess", Courtney telling Jeff to shut up during the reward challenge, or the comment about how they'd take Courtney because they "needed someone light". [The comment itself did not crack me up; it was the fact that they had the utter lack of class to actually say it OUT LOUD; was that REALLY necessary???]. On that note, no big surprise Courtney won the immunity challenge; she weighs all of what, 5 ounces?? I think a dragonfly landing on that thing would have had a better chance of tipping it sideways than she had sitting on it.

I was REALLY hoping Jean-Robert would totally emberass himself with one of those things at Tribal Council the way Jamie did last week, but... well..... Another thing that totally cracks me up is how delusional some people are about why they got voted off. "They voted me off because they were threatened by my game." No, actually it was because everyone thinks you're an obnoxious pig and they can't stand you, but if you wish to believe the former, who am I to spoil your day?? Hopefully this experience taught James he better be careful; playing it sly almost blew up in his face and next time if in doubt, he might want to play the thing. And even if he isn't......

JonnyCoop, you're right about James. I thought he was a goner and boy did you see his wheels turning. I hope it was an eye opener for him. It seems like he threw his friendship aside with Denise. I felt sorry for her and she appeared to feel like she was there by herself.

My Courtney won the immunity challenge, who would have thunk it!!

What a great episode! It really was edge of your seat to see if JR or James was going to be voted off.

Plus the 'reveals' between tribe members and plotting!

I'm glad James is still around, but I think it was a mistake to not vote off the old Wan Hu 1st. If they had to vote off a Fei Long member, they should've really voted off James since he's likely to win physical challenges and has 2 immunity idols, as well.

I hope he realizes that a lot of people know he has both idols and it would be in their interests to get rid of him. My only guess is that FeiLong might tell him that JR was the betrayer.
