Tatiana Volosozhar & Maxim Trankov

It has been a big surprise to me to know that Maxim has a degree. Of course, I didn't know anything about their lives till now. I'm proud of him, if you let me say, for being able to study hard at the same time he is a succesful elite sportsman in the clímax of his career. It must be very difficult to get. I wish him a lot of success in the future as a professional coach, teacher, choreografer or whatever he does.
 
By the way, which of their programs do you like best of all? As for me, my favourite ones are Skyfall, Bring Me Back to Life and Violin Muse... And Masquerade, of course!

I love Romeo&Juliette, The Godfather and the Masquerade Waltz :) these are my favourites but somewhat I like them all :)
 
I love "The Black Swan" and "Masquerade Waltz" the most. "Bring me to life" is my least favourite, good for EX gala but not regular program.
Their first season programs seem to be empty for me as I look back. It was not bad but it took them a year or two to improve/find their style.
 
My favorites are: Masquerade (for SP), Violin Muse and Jesus Christ Superstar for FS (can't decide), Aimer and Opyat Metel for EX. That's if I have to choose, because I like all their programs.

Since we spoke about Maxim's diploma, doesn't Tatiana also have one? I think I remember her saying something but I'm not sure.

Don't know how many of you are still awake (ha ha), but I got to work on the video sooner than expected. I hope it will be worth the wait. The kiss is short, but the lead up to it is really good, as well as the long, tight hug. At one point, it appears that Tanya starts shaking....I assume from crying....and Max just seems to hold on that much tighter. Please, please, please let this work....

Thank you, thank you, thank you so much about that video! It was driving me crazy that I could't find it anywhere and I had vague memory of it from seeing it on TV. From memory I thought Maxim was the one shaking, but I now see that my memory was wrong :). He comforted her so sweetly!
 
Batsuchan - thank you from me also for the blog & translation detective work! I noticed that the English translation regarding their training in Italy was posted in August 2011. Don't know when that training actually took place, but Max mentioned that at one point Tanya went to Venice with Stanislov while he (Max) went to Trento. Don't know if that really means anything, but from what we DO know, I'm guessing things were really brewing between V/T at least by the Fall of 2011, even if they weren't "official" until January 2012. That September 2011 photo shoot (THANK YOU AGAIN, BATSUCHAN!) was awesome, wasn't it? They may not have wanted it to look like a love story, but there are certain things you can't hide. And by the way, that's one of the Max haircuts I like ;) My goodness, they both looked gorgeous for that shoot!

Annafer - thanks so much for your videos of them backstage, too! In the second one, it seems that Max is doing that "blowing" thing that some people do to try to keep it together and not cry. Bless his heart!

Must admit I got pretty excited to see my video had already made it to Tumblr and Instagram - ha ha! To add one more piece to the backstage puzzle for everyone (thanks for helping with that, Annafer :)), I posted another video this morning. It takes place within 30 seconds of S/S ending their program and just moments before the kiss/hug.....

There are 2 more videos I can post that take place after these first two -- one is a lot of celebrating and the other is an interview with them. I will try to post them later this week.
 
Well I do think that the photo shoot (which does of course not look like they're in love :sarcasm:) and the Trophy Eric Bompard which took place around the same time so that they were more than just friends by then or that something was building between them. But it still is kinda sweet that they didn'T make it that public to not make Stas feel akward or left out. Shows how nice they are :)

Masquerade, violin muse and black swan! ... :clap: I like them all, but these three are my fav. My least favourite is "bring me to life": it works in the gala, but in a competition, I don't know, i didn't like the music without the words..

My favs are Masquerade, Black Swan and Violin Muse... Since I was a baby I have been listening Swan Lake ballet and I love it, it is very special for me and I loved their program!!:love:

My favorite programs are Black Swan, The Godfather, and Masquerade. Really great choreography in all 3.

I just love their chemistry in their Godfather performance :)
 
I love "The Black Swam" and don't dislike "Bring me to live" at all. "Romeo and Juliet" was very nice, too, and surprising for a first season together. By the way, I think in 2012 season was when Maxim's hairstyle was better, for me. I think he was especially gorgeous in the World Championships in Nice, :love:.
I'm pleased to know that my gossip spirit is shared by more people, :laugh:. In two months I've passed from ignoring their existence to knowing almost in detail about their lives... How amazing!
In my humble opinion, with all the information I read, I think Max and Tatiana were attracted to each other from the beginning. Just the moment they started their relationship only they know, obviously, but maybe they were avoiding for some months or more than a year (2010-2011) the most inevitable thing: LOVE! for not harming their partners at the time.
 
I think Bring me to Life was good as a gala performance but not as a SP. It sounds weird without the singing in my opinion.

I think the same, I don´t like the version without lyrics... If it were like in ice dance where lyrics are allowed...

Isn't the ISU thinking about allowing lyrics in the programs? Think that I heard something like that during the Olympics. Only few are convinced that that's good 'cause it might be too much like a gala or something...

Same here, but I have a soft spot for "Romeo and Juliet" too :biggrin:
