Congrats to Max on the diploma -- so great! Those subjects definitely will come in handy if he plans to coach someday.

Don't know how many of you are still awake (ha ha), but I got to work on the video sooner than expected. I hope it will be worth the wait. The kiss is short, but the lead up to it is really good, as well as the long, tight hug. At one point, it appears that Tanya starts shaking....I assume from crying....and Max just seems to hold on that much tighter. Please, please, please let this work....

Should have mentioned that you can see the HAT Tanya is holding start to shake, due to HER shaking.....:) Of course, this all happened right after S/S finished their program and it was pretty clear that V/T would win the gold. There were at least 2 more moments of them backstage celebrating that were broadcast by NBC, and I can try to post those later if anyone is interested. This first one was of course my favorite :yay:

Thanks for posting the video!! I'm not sure what happened, but I clicked on the link and it worked once, but then it didn't work when I went to watch it again (of course I had to watch it again...!). I closed the window and re-opened it, but it wouldn't play. Did anyone else have this problem?

I clicked on the link just now and it played normally. Not sure what might have happened. Sorry :disapp: I assume it worked for you, skatefan02?

Ok, I tried it again and it still didn't work, but Vimeo let me download the video to my computer (which I promptly did!) and I could watch it from there. Again, mttvonice, thanks for posting it!

Based on GoogleTranslate, it seems like the photographer says that one of them asked him "not to shoot a love story" because they are just an on-ice pair and not an off-ice couple...but despite this, some of the pictures look *very* lovey-dovey to me! You just can't hide their chemistry! And then, some of the other ones are hilarious, like Max pretending to eat Tanya's shoulder! :laugh:

Since I love to speculate, I'm going to *guess* that it was Tanya who asked the photographer to not take "love story" photos, because I'm thinking this was after she and Stas broke up, and she didn't want to make things awkward... :think:

Also - if you haven't seen it, Tanya and Max have an official blog that they used to update regularly!

Someone asks why they were seen together all the time at the Cup of Russia, while Stas was by himself, and the answer is something like, "Stas is a young coach so he watched the other pairs to learn something new. Why should he sit with us? We see him everyday in practice."

Judging from that answer, Tanya and Stas were definitely not together by the 2011 GP season, and I think it totally is correct that they officially started their relationship in January 2012. :yes:
Perhaps they shared their first real kiss on New Year's Eve, just like Gordeeva & Grinkov! ;)

mttvonivmce, thank you so much for the video!! I watched it a few times already, Tanya was so emotional, and Max was holding her so tight that I don't know how she was able to breath. And yes, Tatiana does start shaking and he holds her even tighter. After that it was Maxim's turn to cry and Tanya to encourage him, when Stephane was around, there's a video of it somewhere, I'll look for it. If you have time to post the other moments you have it would be just great. The one you posted already showed up on tumblr and Instagram.

No one would do that I think. But anyways I am happy for the two of them. I'm happy if they're happy :laugh:
@mttvonice would be really nice if you'd post the other two moments as well. As already said we didn't see any of those moments in Germany :/

I'm new here in the forum and this is my first post, so at the moment I don't know how it works, yet. I just fell in love with Tatiana and Maxim (most with him, I admit :o:) last January. A bit late, I'm afraid! I started to look for information about them on the Internet and I found this place. So, I'm delighted to participate in it. Thank you for all your investigation. You are really great at it!
I live in Barcelona and I'm in heaven since I know the next GPS final will be in my city. Sadly, somebody said T&M won't be there :cry:. I'm crossing my fingers wishing they don't retire.
Sorry for my English. I'm tying to improving it a little bit every day.

Thank you! It was a very moving moment, specially for Maxim with all the story of his dead dad and his hopes to see Maxim as an Olympic Champion. I wish he had been able to see Maxim in Sochi!

Don't worry about them retiring just about recovering. I do think they'll give us nice moments the next years :)
We understand eachother even though we aren't perfect in speaking English. No worries there
