I have readed something but I tought it wasn´t so serius. My opinion like ice skating fan is that it would be a good idea, I think this provides and emotion, because it helps to understand some programs. In galas,most skaters do not risk as much as competition, but I don´t understand a lot about ice skating:confused:

I don't really know if I like that or not. Somewhat I think that it makes the galas special that the music is only there with the lyrics. And in galas it is more about the beauty of skating not about the technic and the technical elements. There they can do what they like. :)
They'll probably try it out and if the feedback is good they'll keep it and if not they'll go back to the tunes without lyrics. We'll see :)
 
Phantom of the Opera would be sooooo cool. Would be a cool FS I think. Generally you can probably skate to every musical theme. There are so many songs I like but I don't know which they could skate too.
Must be quite hard chosing something.
I'm already exited to see what they'll do next season :biggrin:
Oh but I love Disney movies maybe they could take a theme from Disney :laugh:

Wow this is a good question! I would like them to surprise us with something original, and that they following with the tradition of not using similar styles of music.
For gala I would like Mirror (Justin Timberlake) or Just give me a reason (Pink)
I have to think about the themes for competition but I agree with Phantom of the Opera, and from Disney If I never knew you (Pocahontas) even without lyrics:laugh:
 
Pocahontas is great. And I love Beauty and the Beast a lot as well.
Now that we talk about it I'm completely exited to see what they'll really do.
For SP I could imagine something classic again cause the Masquerade Waltz was amazing. :)
 
I would like to see them skate the FS on "Man in the iron mask".

Did anyone hear something more about their presence at the Worlds at the end of the month? I know they are like special guests or something, but I wonder what that meansc, if they'll skate at the gala or not. I really miss seeing them skate.

Haven't heard anything about the worlds but the will most likely take part in in Yuma Kim's 'All That Skate' again.
Wondered too what special guests really means. :scratch:
 
Well, their hip & shoulder looked pretty ok at the Art on ice shows. Their coach said Maxim's shoulder was the problem. I hope they'll take a well deserved vacation and come back healthy. Until then they have more Olympic galas though.

When is Yuna's All that skate?

Well they have the Summer and the Spring edition. Think that spring is always aroun May
and the summer is in August. But I only heard about them taking part in the Spring edition.
That would make sense if that is in May they can still have enough vacation before starting to seriously train again. :)

I agree with you about Phantom of the Opera!!! I cried when I saw the musical in London. It is a wonderful theme. Maybe we could suggest them by twitter, :yay:. A bit crazy, but why not?
Regarding to let lyrics in pairs competition, well, I'm only a fan, but I would rather not. In my opinion the lyrics distract attention from the development of the performance. I don't like them either in ice-dance. In gala perfomances it's another matter, they can do what they want and enjoy.
 
I love the arrangement of Phantom of the Opera that Akiko Suzuki skated her FS too. For me, I really love their Jesus Christ Superstar program.

And I saw on Tanya's Instagram that they are brining back the throw 3F?

Omg!...I totally missed the NBC coverage :(... I watched all the skating events live on NBC Live Extra where that wasn't shown at all...MANY THANKS mttvonice! Just priceless :)...more please xD

I was really surprised (and impressed!) to see the throw 3F! That looked like one of the practice sessions for Art on Ice, so I guess it means they have still been practicing it?

That will be cool if they try more difficult elements going forward (since some people have complained that they play it safe), and I'm all for it as long as it doesn't hurt Tanya! :yes: At some point Max also said they could try doing side-by-side 3T-3T combos--that would be so cool!! :eek:
