Tatiana Volosozhar & Maxim Trankov

Thanks so much to mttvonice and annafer for those video posts!!

Batsuchan - thank you from me also for the blog & translation detective work! I noticed that the English translation regarding their training in Italy was posted in August 2011. Don't know when that training actually took place, but Max mentioned that at one point Tanya went to Venice with Stanislov while he (Max) went to Trento. Don't know if that really means anything, but from what we DO know, I'm guessing things were really brewing between V/T at least by the Fall of 2011, even if they weren't "official" until January 2012.

mttvonice - ahahaha, I just figured out what your name means! Anyway, great minds clearly think alike, because I was really wondering about this post myself! I might be reading too much into this, but to me, it sounds like Tanya and Stas went to Venice for some romantic time together, while Max went somewhere else, which means that they were still together then?

Tanya and Stas were clearly still together in June, according to this interview:
http://www.goldenskate.com/2011/06/volosozhar-and-trankov-a-perfect-match/

Volosozhar’s fiancée and former partner Morozov became part of their coaching team.
Honestly, it is now easier for me to have a partner on the ice and a different partner in life,” Volosozhar shared.

So I'm now *speculating* that Tanya & Stas didn't break up until summer 2011, and maybe Max is not quite remembering correctly--maybe it was not quite six months later when he broke up with his girlfriend, maybe closer to 4 or 5 months.

Because I do agree that something special seemed to be happening at 2011 Trophee Eric Bompard--that performance of "Aimer" was magical, and Tanya just looks sooo happy, despite the fact that they had some major mistakes in their programs.

(And apparently, people who were watching the exhibition live thought that Stas looked very sad while they were skating this. Poor Stas.)

The other thing that makes me wonder is how Max acted in the kiss&cry at 2011 Skate Canada, see around 7:10:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wvevo1wUC44

Tanya kisses Max and then Stas, and then Max pretends to kiss Stas, and everybody laughs. I *definitely* don't think Max would joke around like that if there was something going on with him and Tanya, that would be too mean!

So I guess I'm now thinking that Tanya & Stas broke up in summer 2011, while Max broke up with his girlfriend around the time of the GP season (November?), and then he and Tanya officially got together in January 2012...but of course, this is just me speculating wildly, as I love to do. ;)

...I think Max and Tatiana were attracted to each other from the beginning. Just the moment they started their relationship only they know, obviously, but maybe they were avoiding for some months or more than a year (2010-2011) the most inevitable thing: LOVE! for not harming their partners at the time.

That's what I think, too, Melinda6905. And I've decided to let my "idea" of exactly how and when things happened for them in 2011 to just turn into a thick fog of mutual attraction, goo-goo eyes, birds chirping, and warm, fuzzy feelings that all led up to the "official" Facebook status change in January 2012. Continuing to try and truly figure it all out is just making my head hurt

I do appreciate the new information and videos, Batsuchan! I especially liked Max attempting to kiss Stas

After all the discussion today regarding their past programs, I see that I have a few more to catch up on! And my vote for a new program would definitely be PHANTOM OF THE OPERA. Yes, yes, a thousand times, yes

So glad that everyone has enjoyed the backstage videos so much, and feel terrible that I didn't realize sooner that it could be done! Hopefully posting the last 2 videos in the morning...

I was really surprised (and impressed!) to see the throw 3F! That looked like one of the practice sessions for Art on Ice, so I guess it means they have still been practicing it?

That will be cool if they try more difficult elements going forward (since some people have complained that they play it safe), and I'm all for it as long as it doesn't hurt Tanya! At some point Max also said they could try doing side-by-side 3T-3T combos--that would be so cool!!

Yeah! I was thinking that they really should replace that easy 3STh and replace it with the flip or a Lutz, and upgrade the triple toe-double toe with a triple-triple. But yes, I thought that's why they stopped doing it (the flip), because of injuries. I think it's alright to not push the limits as long as they're doing it at a high technical level. I'd rather see, excellent easier elements than inconsistent, sloppy difficult elements.

Thanks for the article! Well, Stas says he doesn't recommend it, but Tatiana says the opposite  that it is more difficult to date someone outside their skating world and be apart for long periods of time.

As for the beginning of their relationship it's all so confusing. Maxim broke up with his ex in August 2011 (judging by photos and her vk post) so Tanya and Stas had to do it earlier. I know there's that June 2011 interview, but usually interviews are made months ahead. Oh well, it doesn't even matter in the end, what it matters is that Tatiana and Maxim are happy, and hopefully Stas too.

I'm still curious about the new haircut, so far Maxim wasn't too generous with us LOL.

In the end it doesn't really matter when they broke up, or?
As long as they're all happy (hopefully Stas too)
Yeah he's been like 'Oh let them wait how it looks'

... He probably eats abything she make as long as he gets food
That sounds like he is a disaster or maybe a bum in the kitchen. Poor Max, perhaps we are not right with him,...

"Their Home" sounds nice.
Does anybody think they don't really live together yet?

Haha whatever as long as it tastes^^
But something else. Do you think that S/S will win their 5th world title in Saitama?

Well, S/S have their last chance and without V/T it will be easier. I wish our couple would be in Japan! In their absence, if S/S had a fault, my favourite would be Stolbova/Klimov.
Regarding the new Maxim's haircut, I like it, but my favourite look was in 2012 and last summer in the Spanish dubbed interview on the RT channel.
I take this opportunity to thank you all for sharing your information, pictures and videos. It's very exciting to enyoy them.
