So, I think there are a few scenarios here. The worst is obviously that Kamila/her team took a banned substance knowingly, which I find highly unlikely. There is also a possibility that she accidentally did something (painkillers, medicine, etc.) that would lead to a positive test. Since it's not performance enhancing based on previous info, there is probably no issue with the individual results, just with the fact that an athlete used a banned substance and as such would have to be banned from competition for a set time, which is complicated since this is a positive test from (probably) Euros, not the Olympics. It's also possible that the issue is not with Kami but as previously speculated with Nikita and cannabis. This is honestly the most likely scenario to me, he's been having back issues and it would not surprise me if he used a pain cream or something similar with a banned substance or CBD in it. I don't think Eteri would allow her skaters to have anything even remotely close to an issue because of the risks, so that's why I am shocked that it is Kamila. If it is a false positive or created from some weird chemical reaction, this could take days to clear up. Kamila is the only under-16 involved, so as long as it's not her we should get clear statements from the ISU and IOC. The problem with it being Kamila, whether it was intentional or accidental, is the chance that it could affect Anna and Sasha because they train together and might use some of the same medical supplies or substances.
But once we figure out who it is, if it's intentional or accidental, etc. we now have to deal with the issues associated with rescoring. Do we disqualify the points for ROC but leave the discipline standings as before? Do we shift each placement up one and rescore?
