The Longest Game....Since 1936

I am not a hockey fan by any means, but die hard Canucks fans here in Vancouver endured one of the longest hockey games in Canada's long history of hockey last night. It went into the wee hours of the morning. Many people were tired this morning on their morning commute to work and some were late for work!!! I guess the Canuck's win last night helped ease the pain this morning.

That's nothing!

Last year we went to Union-Yale playoffs (the east coast college division). That game went into 6 or 7 overtimes! It started around 6 pm and stopped after 1 am. It went by faster since there are no TV breaks like for NHL games. In the middle of the 4th or 5th OT it was annunced that it was the longest NCAA game ever. And then it went on for even longer...

Last long game that we watched on TV was the Penguins and Flyers matchup that went into 4 OT as well back in 2000. Living on the east coast, it was easier to watch.

Welll I don't know about nothing. There are 14 more games to go.....

what do you mean 14 games? They lost last night. So that would be 15 to go, though I would be shocked if they go that far...especially after that exhausting game 1.
