Well, that inspired me to look around.

The Canadian Figure Skating Championships included a Fours event until 1997 before the event was discontinued.

Here's something I bet most of us don't know: The last Canadian Champions in Fours included a familiar name on the team: David Pellitier.

I remember watching fours at Nationals *cough* a few years ago

We had the BEST Olympic champions to kick us off to a lifelong love of the sport, didn't we!

1976... Dorothy Hamill, John Curry, and Rodnina/Zaitsev.

Now THAT was an Olympic class!

Not just the champions. The men's bronze medalist in 76 was not too shabby either.

Even if my first Olys was 72, with a not too shabby women's bronze medalist....

My first skating memory is watching Peggy Fleming in 1968, which makes me feel a lot older than I actually am, thank you very much.
