Trophee Eric Bompard - Results - Original Dance

DenSta have been getting low (or at least relatively low) TES scores all season. Perhaps they need to do a little more tweeking on their elements? (I haven't gone back to check their protocals for Skate Canada or NHK to see their values and their GOE scores yet)
Also quite frankly, their OD isn't that great. (IMHO)

It is suprising that the world silver medalists-who are certainly capable of great difficulty have rather low TES scores.

It does sound as if Melissa & Denis have been really working hard this summer.
I haven't seen any of their programs yet for the season, and I'll try not to let my thoughts of their "MD diamond Blades" color my judgement ;)

I am quite :) that Navkos have done so well (even though I like DenStas and DelSch especially as well) but an ice dance competition without the diva is first place? ;)
I'm really looking forward to seeing this performance. Their NHK performance was off-but it really looked like Roman had a cold; so I'm sure that messed them up.
They have also been getting rather low TES scores up until now. Their scores for TEB have been the highest of any team this year(although I know you really can't cross compare teams from different events, with different judging panels) it also beat their own record.

This season is very important for Melissa and Denis. This is the first time they are so heavy in international competition rotation. While it's unlikely they can penetrate the top 7 teams (N&K, De&St, G&G, B&A, D&L, De&Sc, C&S), they have to establish themselves as high as possible among the next teams (I think only Domnina & Shabalin are almost guaranteed to be ranked ahead of them). Passing Kulikova & Novikov at NHK was good; if they pass Faella & Scalli here it's even better. At this rate, they're likely to make top 10 at Worlds, and be real medal contenders after 2006.
