USFSA Adult Figure skater and ISI competitions?

I am at the Adult Gold level in USFSA and just started competing and I get such bad nerves that I am trying to overcome by doing as many comps as I can. So interested in looking at ISI, but their website isn't great, and not sure how Adult Gold translates over there, or how I would even get started. Any advice would be great!

I can't help you directly, but if no one else replies, have you looked at the ISI Handbook?
You may not have to buy a copy yourself, though last I knew (which was a long time ago) it had fairly readable explanations of some things, including skating standards - often clearer than USFS or ISU. It is possible another skater, or a coach or figure skating director at your rink(s) may have a copy you can look at.

But perhaps this web page will be helpful?

Does the ISI website have a Contacts link where you could email or phone and ask what their equivalent is for your USFSA level? (The ISI is just in the US, so I've never looked at their website myself.)

I'm not familiar with ISI competition, but based on the website Query linked, a USFS skater who has passed Adult Gold Singles May compete in ISI no lower than Freestyle 5/Open Silver.

The districts and competitions listed at https://isiskatingevents.org/pages/home are all in the US, except for Gay Games XII to be held in Valencia Spain June 27-July 4, 2026
https://www.gaygamesvalencia2026.com/en/sport/figure-skating/, which is an inclusive adult competition using ISI rules

There is also https://isiasia.org/

The second link I provided above
https://skateisi.org/competition/competition-information/events-eligibility-rule/
partially answered your question, in terms of what minimum level in ISI you can compete at.

But it didn't list the maximum level you can compete at, and perhaps doesn't include all the requirements.

It also refers to the equivalency charts:
For additional equivalency charts in other disciplines please refer to the ISI Handbook)
.

By the way, the ISI is not just in the U.S. They also hold International competitions. E.g., see
https://risonline.org/events/

Also, many ISI clubs and rinks host events and competitions whose rules are not the same as the standard ISI competitions. I was told they give clubs and rinks much more latitude about such things than USFS does. If you have a local ISI club, perhaps it is worth speaking to its officers?

Perhaps you can also compete in ISU Adult competitions:
https://www.usfigureskating.org/skate/skating-opportunities/adult-skating

P.S. Perhaps you already know that USFSA now prefers to be known as USFS or US Figure Skating.
