Victoria Sinitsina & Nikita Katsalapov

No, you are not alone on this. At least he did not spin like "cyclones" here any more. On the other hand, his speed in twizzles went down a bit.
they reworked it to make him slower which is imo very good b/c only Elena could keep up with drunk twizzling:biggrin:
Im happy Im not alone!!:agree:

Don't wanna ruin the positive mood, but we saw his twizzles just at one competition, and they were not even that good... We saw better twizzles from him before at times, so we need to wait for at least couple more starts before saying that he's improved on them. IMO of course :) And sorry.

haha ofc Im still ready for the worst:laugh:
Im positive b/c I was used to the thought that this problem is hopeless but its not

Twizzles are Achilles heel of Nikita since I remember.

All will be good! Better to skip this competition and don`t risk the start in their GP`s!! And they have more time to practice and polish their programs.

He has not undergone any shoulder surgery so far? I am little confused. My guess is that they decided to WD just as a precaution against any possible aggravation of the injury, nothing really serious.

I feel a little sad for the fragile health of those sportsmen's, and for myself as well. Sigh...

still worrysome....:(
Yes, it's worrisome. IMO this has for some time now looked like something chronic, like Tessa Virtue's situation or something. And he's constantly stressing and aggravating all the injured places because he's training hard now in preparation for the season and to make up lost time. They also still aren't done working out all the lifts in the FD, so that must make it worse. Unfortunately, it's probably also not an unusual situation for figure skaters. If he's unlucky, he'll be dealing with this for the rest of his career. Tbh, it already looks like this will be the case anyway. :( It's easy to forget how much toll this sport takes on the body...

But, to end on a positive, perhaps it's not so bad and they're skipping as a precaution to give him some rest. It's good that they're responsible and aren't risking his health further for a minor competition.

I wish them the best of training. I do hope they try for the later cups though.

Now after countless of viewings of their FD, I do think their FD has a lot of potential if further polished (especially to the second half). There is a greater sense of unity between them than before.

Here it is clearly said that Nikita's shoulder was injured after the 2nd Russian Cup event, so that means they have no chance of showing up this season? Sounds not good at all. :sad46: Seems that they are no longer of any importance to Marina, and they can only rely on themselves to improve.
It is also clearly said that they plan to compete at Cup of China and NHK. Probably this injury is not so serious. Or they are just hopeful that they will be able to skate.

As for Zoueva, I take it that it's not like they are of no importance to her at all, but rather that she can't really do much from that distance (which I think is true). And seem also that it's not in her power anymore to decide whether to take them back or not.
