imo the work with Elena T is very visible! & she had very positive influence on them already!
Imo they will choreo with Marina & can be constantly working at home with Elena T. Considering Marina is Elena's sudnt they have similar vision & approach.

A massive weight seemed to fall from their shoulders when it became clear that they'd made the podium. It's been such a tough season so far, I'm happy for them that there's something positive to show for it now. I loooove their costumes, simple but elegant. That might be tied to budget constraints and so on, but they're better off with this simplicity IMO. The SD is more easily accessible, but as the FD gets better and they get more comfortable with it, I prefer it. It's gorgeous. That second step sequence is still bugging me, though. I think the first one is brilliant and totally reflects mood and music, but stopping and going back in the second one just looks awkward and disrupts the flow a bit. And not to go all concern troll, but in some of the close-ups in the photos it's very obvious how slender they both are. You could cut glass with Nikita's cheekbones now.
 
Tbh, I don't think it matters all that much about groups. The most important thing is that they don't have to skate right at the start of the comp, that's when marks are really, really cautious and the judges tend to forget all about you. They're in the fourth group, their season's standings made sure of that. That's okay...fourth group, fifth group, I figure there won't be much difference. It could have made a difference had they gotten into the last group, but with how late their season started and being unable to go do the smaller competitions to get those ranking points...not possible.

ANyway the main thing for them as always to skate clean & with drive
that they can!
Ill be very much cheering for them just as much as in the JPs & Nats
Even tho I cant see them at best #6

Those TES :sad4: Lowest in the top 12 and by more than a point :sad21:
I want them to go back to Zoueva. But at least the twizzle are stable.

I actually enjoyed watching them today though... leaving the TES alone it was a fun program.

Is it just me or is she really much skinnier than she used to be?

I enjoyed them too and was really shocked as the scores came out...:sad21::shocked:
Until then I was like...wow they had the best skate of the season and looked great!
You are right...Vika is very skinny now!:rolleye:

I had that same reaction. WOW they will surely pass 70 pts. That TES score (and overall score) killed my spirit :sad21:

Actually I think its very noble of her to protect him in that way. He is managing an injury, she is alright. I think its good that she was able to lose the weight for him.

Gordeeva did the same for Grinkov in their day :scratch2:

Regarding their SD score, I have nothing to say, but I do think that persistent disapproval or criticism from this community can be highly demoralizing for them. Seems that their program was penalized for some choreography violations, about which I have not got a clue. Hopefully tomorrow will be another day.

Nikita thought that their SD here was emotionally stronger and cleaner even than that at the Nationals (I do agree with him). :laugh: Elena is already their coach now, and a new choreographer named Simon Kaufman from Bolshoi Theatre has also joined their team, who made many changes to their programs. Glad to hear that they will stick it out till the end of the competitions despite a very poor start. :cheer2:

& I thought bnothing could be worse than going under Hawayek/Baker:sad21::sad4::sad4::sad4::cry:

I start to think that it would have been better fot them to be 4th at Nats than this humiliation:dbana::dbana:

ugh I wonder even if the haters really think their level is Sorensen & le Gak (no offense to those teams!!!:giveup:)

I'm still in shock and feel sorry for them. They had their best SD this season and looked great!!! Loved the guys on British Eurosport. They liked Vika and Nikita's SD as much as I did. Too bad about these scores. Wasn't a fair judging at all!! Hope they don't give up and fight!!!
